Port Elizabeth is first and foremost known for the friendliness of its inhabitants. It is a harbour city which lies in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape of South Africa between Cape Town and Durban. The inhabitants used to refer to ‘The Friendly City’ as „PE“. With its 40-kilometre long sandy beaches, the city is a perfect place for swimming, surfing or diving all year round. The clean and safe beaches of Nelson Mandela Bay are ideal for anyone learning to surf. You can go a few kilometres west to  to Jeffreys Bay to ride the ‘Supertube’ waves on one of the world’s most famous beaches. Our language school lies only five minutes from the famous Pollock Beach. The best cafés, restaurants and pubs of the city are located in ‘Boardwalk Casino Complex’ at the end of Beach Road. The well-known Red Location Museum will give you detailed information about the apartheid period in South African history. You can easily reach huge national parks and wildlife protected areas from here, such as Kragga Kamma Game Park, located 15 kilometres from Port Elisabeth.
