FAQ

Customer Questions and Answers (FAQ)

By when do I need to book Brighton – Old Steine for my child?

Please book as early as possible. Popular course dates are often fully booked as early as January for the Easter and summer holidays. Ideally, you should book your child’s Language course for students in December for the upcoming Easter or summer holidays. In many destinations, we can usually accommodate last-minute bookings. However, availability is often limited when it comes to flights. The later you book, the more expensive the airfare is likely to be. Please give us a call for detailed advice — we will be happy to take the time to support you personally and answer all your questions.

How much free time will my child have?

On a language trip to Brighton, children have free time that they may organise themselves. Please note that there are periods during which your children are unsupervised.

How much does a language trip to Brighton – Old Steine cost?

A 2-week language course with 20 English lessons per week and accommodation in a host family with full board costs 1425 £. The extensive leisure programme, airport transfers, language course and accommodation are included in the course price.

Can I share a room with my friend, brother or sister?

We are happy to arrange accommodation for friends or family members in the same host family.

Can my child manage the journey to school?

There are often several children staying in a host family. This has the advantage that journeys to school can be made together. In most cases, the journey to school is made by public transport.

Is there a placement test at the beginning of the language course?

Yes, a placement test takes place in advance. The students are then placed in the appropriate language level.

When do I have to pay?

Upon conclusion of the contract (after receiving the travel confirmation and the security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the travel price is due, with a minimum amount of £200, plus any insurance premiums. The remaining balance of the travel price must be paid 28 days before departure. Parents will find all relevant information on the invoice.

LISA! Travel ideas

Parents who now feel inspired to book a language course to the United Kingdom themselves will find many other suitable programmes for children, teenagers and adults at LISA! Study abroad programmes. For adults who would like to travel to Brighton for a language course, we recommend staying for at least two weeks. Brighton is simply too beautiful to leave again so quickly. In Brighton, we also organise the Brighton 30 Plus Language courses, which is designed for parents and adults aged 30 and over.

As an alternative to a language course for juniors to Brighton with more intensive supervision, we recommend our Boarding School programmes for teenagers in the United Kingdom. There, children and teenagers learn English in famous private schools behind thick castle walls and receive 24/7 supervision. Example: Language courses in Nottingham.
