  1. The old town instead of school corridors:
After lessons, you continue your day right among the cathedral, piazzas and Italian cafés.

  2. Shopping in Italian:
From small boutiques to the famous Via Tornabuoni – the Italian lifestyle is simply part of everyday life here.

  3. Experience Italy, not just learn it:
Getting a gelato, strolling through the old town and having your first conversations in Italian – Florence works even without a textbook.

Character of the language programme:
Florence is ideal for teenagers who want to learn Italian in the heart of authentic Italian city life. Historic squares, fashion, cafés and the lively streets make the city one of Italy’s most exciting destinations for a language programme.

The Extensive LISA! Leisure Programme

Our comprehensive leisure programme is an integral part of every student language programme and is already included in the course price. It makes a significant contribution to learning success. In Florence, the programme includes four afternoon activities and one full-day excursion per week (for a two-week stay).

First, we discover the city on a guided tour, visit magnificently decorated churches, stroll through the Boboli Gardens and admire Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David. We also take an excursion to the world-famous Uffizi Gallery. After Italian lessons, we organise film afternoons featuring, for example, films by Rossellini or Fellini. Together, we travel to places such as the medieval city of Siena, visit Pisa and its Leaning Tower, or head to Viareggio for a day at the beach. We also play volleyball and football, have swimming competitions in the pool, organise picnics and celebrate with a big party at the school.

FAQ

Customer Questions and Answers (FAQ)

By when should I book Florence for my child?

Please book as early as possible. Our most popular course dates are often fully booked as early as January for the Easter and summer holidays. Ideally, you should book your junior language trip in December for the following Easter or summer break. That said, at some destinations we can still accommodate last-minute bookings. In these cases, however, the main limitation is usually the flight. The later you book, the more expensive airline tickets tend to be. Please give us a call and let our team advise you in detail.

How much free time will my child have?

During a language programme in Florence, children have periods of free time that they may organise themselves. Please note that there are times when your children are unsupervised.

How much does a language trip to Florence cost?

A two-week language trip with 20 Italian lessons per week and accommodation with full board costs 1849 £. The extensive leisure programme, airport transfer, language course and accommodation are included in the course price.

Can I be in the same class as my friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother or sister?

Placement is based on Italian language level as well as age. Normally, it is always possible for students travelling together to be placed in the same class.

Can my child manage the journey to school?

Several children usually stay with the same host family. This has the advantage that the journey to school can often be made together. The school can be reached from the host families either on foot or by bus.

Is there a placement test at the beginning of the language trip?

Yes, a placement assessment takes place in advance. The students are then placed in the appropriate language level.

When does payment have to be made?

Upon conclusion of the contract (after receiving the travel confirmation and the security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the travel price is due, with a minimum amount of £200, plus any insurance premiums. The remaining balance of the travel price must be paid 28 days before departure. Parents will find all relevant information on the invoice.
