Rouen is a beautiful French city in Normandy. On its narrow, cobbled streets you will feel as though you’ve travelled back in time to the French middle ages. The impressive gothic cathedral is the town’s main landmark and the former port has been renovated – today boasting various restaurants, cafés and the perfect place to go for a stroll. In terms of gastronomy, Normandy is famous for its cheese, its apples which are turned into cider and, of course, its fish and oysters which are caught daily on the coast. A modern museum has also been built in memory of Joan of Arc.
