FAQ

Customer Questions and Answers (FAQ)

When should I book Malta Hub for my child?

Please book as early as possible. Popular course dates are often fully booked as early as January for the Easter and summer holidays. Ideally, you should book your child’s Language course for students in December for the upcoming Easter or summer holidays. In many destinations, we can usually accommodate last-minute bookings. However, availability is often limited when it comes to flights. The later you book, the more expensive the airfare is likely to be. Please give us a call for detailed advice — we will be happy to take the time to support you personally and answer all your questions.

How much freedom will my child have?

Your child will be occupied throughout the day with lessons and leisure activities. Nevertheless, students in Malta have periods of free time that they may organise themselves. For example, there may be free hours, and supervisors may allow students to go shopping in groups after a museum visit.

How much does a language programme in Malta Hub cost?

A two-week language programme with 20 English lessons per week and accommodation in the residence with full board costs 2019 £. The extensive leisure programme, airport transfers, language course and accommodation are included in the programme price.

Can I share a room with my friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, brother or sister?

We are happy to arrange accommodation for friends or family members together in the same residence.

Can my child manage the journey to school?

A shuttle bus operates between the residence and the language school.

Is there a placement test at the beginning of the programme?

Yes. A placement test takes place on the first day of school. Students are then assigned to the appropriate language level.

When do I have to pay?

Upon conclusion of the travel contract (after receiving the booking confirmation and financial security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the programme price, with a minimum payment of £200, plus any applicable insurance premiums, is required. The remaining balance must be paid 28 days before departure. Full details are provided on the invoice.

Are there similar language programmes by the sea in the United Kingdom?

Yes. Our study abroad programmes in Brighton are comparable to Malta.
