English Language Courses for Students Aged 13 to 17

Our English language courses for students are part of our student language travel programmes in Brighton – Old Steine, which take place on selected dates during Easter, summer and autumn. A choice of different language courses is available.

Language courses

Main Course English (13–17 years)

The Main Course is the classic student language course in Brighton – Old Steine. It combines structured English lessons with an international learning group, supervised activities and daily life with an English host family.

• 20 lessons of 45 minutes each per week

• Lessons take place Monday to Friday, either in the morning (Course A: approximately 9:00 am – 12:15 pm) or in the afternoon (Course B: approximately 1:15 pm – 4:30 pm)

• Average of 13 participants, maximum of 16

• Suitable for all language levels from A1 onwards

The Main Course also includes five activities per week, three evening activities, and one full-day excursion per week.

Super Intensive English Course (14–17 years)

The Super Intensive Course is designed for students who want to learn English intensively in a short period of time and maximise their speaking practice.

• 35 group lessons per week, each lasting 45 minutes

• Lessons take place Monday to Friday, in the morning and afternoon (approximately 9:00 am – 12:15 pm and 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)

• Average of 13 participants, maximum of 16

• Minimum language level: B1

The Super Intensive Course also includes three evening activities and one full-day weekend excursion. Compared with the Main Course, the key difference is the higher teaching intensity, providing students with even more opportunities to practise and improve their English.

English & Football (13–17 years)

Our English & Football programme gives students the opportunity to take part in professional football training before attending their English lessons (Main Course).

• 10 football training sessions per week, each lasting 60 minutes

• Training takes place Monday to Friday at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre

• Suitable for students with a minimum language level of B1

Led by qualified and certified coaches, students learn the fundamentals of professional football. The programme focuses on a wide range of skills, drills and tactical concepts, with the aim of developing the key techniques required for player improvement. Training equipment is provided, although students are welcome to bring additional sportswear if they wish. The football camp is organised by LISA! Sprachreisen, and participants book the programme under German package travel law.

Daily Schedule

• 8:15 am – Meet at the language school

• Group transfer by coach to the training centre

• Football training Monday to Friday in the morning

• 12:15 pm – Group transfer back to the school

• Lunch in the school cafeteria

• English language course in the afternoon

• After 4:30 pm – Leisure programme with the other course participants
