FAQ
Customer Questions and Answers (FAQ)
When should I book San Gwann for my child?
Please book as early as possible. Popular course dates are often fully booked as early as January for the Easter and summer holidays. Ideally, you should book your child’s Language course for students in December for the upcoming Easter or summer holidays. In many destinations, we can usually accommodate last-minute bookings. However, availability is often limited when it comes to flights. The later you book, the more expensive the airfare is likely to be. Please give us a call for detailed advice — we will be happy to take the time to support you personally and answer all your questions.
How much freedom will my child have?
On a language trip to Malta, children have periods of free time that they may organise themselves. Please note that there are times when students are not under direct supervision.
How much does a language trip to San Gwann cost?
A two-week language trip with 20 English lessons per week and accommodation in a host family with full board costs between £1,399 and £1,499, depending on the travel period. The extensive leisure programme, airport transfers, language course and accommodation are included in the programme price.
Can I share a room with my friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, brother or sister?
We are happy to arrange accommodation for friends or family members together in the same host family or residence.
Can my child manage the journey to school?
Several children usually stay with the same host family, which allows them to travel to school together. Malta is a small and very safe island, and the routes are straightforward.
Is there a placement test at the beginning of the programme?
Yes. A placement test takes place on the first day of school. Students are then assigned to the appropriate language level.
When do I have to pay?
Upon conclusion of the travel contract (after receiving the booking confirmation and financial security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the programme price, with a minimum payment of £200, plus any applicable insurance premiums, is required. The remaining balance must be paid 28 days before departure. Full details are provided on the invoice.
Are there similar language programmes by the sea in the United Kingdom?
Yes. Our junior language courses in Brighton are comparable to Malta.
