English language courses for students aged 13 to 17

Our English language courses for students are part of our student language travel programmes in Malta – St. Julian’s, which take place during the summer holidays. The English courses for children and teenagers in Malta are also offered in Sliema and Salina Beach. They are suitable for beginners (A0) through to advanced learners (C2) and provide excellent preparation for the German English Abitur.

Language courses

Main Course English (13–17 years)

• The Main Course is the classic student language course in St. Julian’s. It combines structured English lessons with an international learning group and a supervised leisure programme.

• Each week there are 20 group lessons. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. The course focuses on vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension and, above all, active speaking. The international classes remain small and manageable. On average, twelve students study together, with a maximum of fifteen. This ensures that students regularly speak English themselves and receive direct feedback from the teachers.

• The courses are suitable for beginners (A1) through to advanced learners (C2).

Learning success is achieved through many speaking opportunities in class and through the international student environment. English is not only learned in the classroom but also used in daily communication with other participants.

Super Intensive English Course (13–17 years)

The Super Intensive Course is designed for students who want to speak and learn a great deal of English in a short period of time.

• Students attend 30 group lessons per week. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. The increased number of lessons allows students to develop their vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension and speaking skills more intensively than in the Main Course.

• The international classes remain small and manageable. On average, twelve students study together, with a maximum of fifteen. This provides plenty of speaking practice and immediate feedback from the teachers.

• The courses are suitable for beginners (A1) through to advanced learners (C2).

The difference compared to the Main Course lies in the level of intensity. With more lessons per week, students benefit from increased language practice, more repetition and greater confidence when speaking English.

We recommend this course to parents whose children want to learn English particularly intensively and make noticeable progress during their school holidays.

The focus of all courses is on intensive language practice: international learning groups, plenty of opportunities to speak, and the daily use of English in student life on Malta.
