1. The lessons:
   Our Spanish language courses in San Sebastián are suitable for young learners aged 14 to 17. Lessons are grouped by age and level and take place in the mornings. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.
2. Accommodation:
   Your son or daughter will stay with friendly host families. Students receive full board – breakfast and dinner with the host family and a packed lunch at midday. Most host families live within walking distance or a short bus ride from the school.
3. Summer Camp for Ages 6–13:
   In 2026, our summer camp for children and young learners aged 6 and over will take place from 22 June to 3 August. The special feature of this camp is that both lessons and accommodation are located in the same residence – so there are no long journeys to school. The residence is in San Sebastián, not far from the city centre and just a 15-minute walk from the beach. Children are divided into age groups: 6–9 years and 10–13 years. After morning lessons, a varied programme of afternoon and evening activities is organised, plus a full-day excursion at the weekend. Arrival and departure are on Sundays.
4. Supervision:
   All our young learner language programmes are supervised. After morning lessons, the school organises a varied programme of afternoon activities. Saturdays are reserved for full-day excursions, while Sundays and evenings are spent with host families. Please note that there are limited periods when students are unsupervised, for example on the way to school. We will be happy to advise you in detail.
5. Learning success:
   Our language courses are known for excellent learning outcomes. Progress is guaranteed through a careful selection of the best-qualified Spanish teachers, all trained specifically in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Lessons are conducted entirely in Spanish.
6. Quality standards:
   Our language school is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and FEDELE, and is a member of International House and IALC. All teachers are specialists in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
7. Arrival:
   Please book a flight to San Sebastián, Biarritz or Bilbao. Flights are not accompanied. Students should arrive in San Sebastián on Sundays and depart on Saturdays (or Sundays for residence stays). Transfers from San Sebastián, Biarritz or Bilbao airports are available at an additional cost. On arrival, your son or daughter will be warmly welcomed by our travel guides and taken to their accommodation.

THE LISA! ACTIVITY PROGRAMME IN SAN SEBASTIÁN – ALL INCLUDED

Our extensive activity programme in San Sebastián is an integral part of every language course and is already included in the course price. It offers a lively mix of sports, cultural highlights and shared excursions. The programme is adapted locally to reflect the students’ interests and perfectly complements the language course, contributing greatly to learning success.

After Spanish lessons, students often head to the beach to play beach volleyball or swim in the blue Atlantic. Activities may include stand-up paddling, Zumba, salsa dancing, cycling, basketball, ice-cream outings or boat trips. Visits may include the Balenciaga Museum, the Planetarium, or a football match at Real Sociedad’s stadium. Excursions may take students to Getaria, Hendaye, Las Pasajes or Zumaia. Each week includes three afternoon activities and one full-day excursion on Saturday, for example to Biarritz, Bilbao, Pamplona or Vitoria.

When should I book San Sebastián for my child?
Please book as early as possible. Popular course dates are often fully booked by January for Easter and summer. Ideally, you should book your child’s language course in December for the following Easter or summer holidays.
In many course locations, we can also accommodate last-minute bookings; however, availability of flights can become a challenge. The later you book, the more expensive the airfare tends to be. Please call us for detailed advice – we will be happy to assist you personally.

How much free time will my child have?
San Sebastián is a beautiful and manageable seaside city. Your child will be busy with lessons and activities throughout the day but will also have opportunities for some free time.

What is the cost of a language course in San Sebastián?
A two-week summer course with 25 lessons per week and accommodation with a host family in a shared room with full board costs £2109. The activity programme, lessons and accommodation are included in the price.

Is there a placement test at the start of the course?
Yes. On the first day of school, all students take a placement test and are then assigned to the appropriate level.

When do I have to pay?
When you receive your travel confirmation and security certificate, a deposit of 20% of the total price (minimum £200) plus any insurance premiums is due. The balance is payable 28 days before departure. Parents will find full payment details on the invoice.
