Learn Italian in Trieste Close to the Sea
The Italian language course for students takes place in a historic university building (see photo) located in the heart of the city, just a few steps from Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia. Lessons are conducted entirely in Italian, leading to rapid learning progress.

Learn Italian in Trieste
Our Italian language courses in Trieste are suitable for children and teenagers aged 12 to 17.
Main Course (Ages 12–17):
20 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week.

The teaching groups are organised according to age. Friends and siblings travelling together can be placed in the same language course if they have a similar language level. All language levels are available.
Our language school in Trieste is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education and is a member of the professional organisations IALC, ASILS and EDUITALIA.
The Extensive LISA! Leisure Programme
Our comprehensive leisure programme is an integral part of every student language programme and is already included in the course price. It combines time by the sea, excursions and a wide range of shared activities. Together, we explore the city on a guided tour and visit San Giusto Castle and Miramare Castle. We take excursions to Aquileia and the Acqua Park Grado. Students hike in the Karst Mountains, take part in an archaeology workshop and visit museums. We also play volleyball and basketball, go swimming at various beaches around Trieste, climb in an adventure park and go canoeing. In the evenings, we enjoy karaoke sessions and make music together.

By when should I book Trieste for my child?

How much free time will my child have?
During a language programme in Trieste, children have periods of free time that they may organise themselves. Please note that there are times when your children are unsupervised.

How much does a language trip to Trieste cost?
A two-week language trip with 20 Italian lessons per week and accommodation in the residence with full board costs 2199 £. The extensive leisure programme, airport transfer, language course and accommodation are included in the course price.

Can I be in the same class as my friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother or sister?
Placement is based on Italian language level as well as age. Normally, it is always possible for students travelling together to be placed in the same class.

Can my child manage the journey to school?
In Trieste, lessons take place in the same building as the residence. The distances are short, simple and easy to manage.

Is there a placement test at the beginning of the language programme?
Yes, a placement assessment takes place in advance. Students are then assigned to the appropriate language level.

When does payment have to be made?
Upon conclusion of the contract (after receiving the travel confirmation and the security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the travel price is due, with a minimum amount of £200, plus any insurance premiums. The remaining balance of the travel price must be paid 28 days before departure. Parents will find all relevant information on the invoice.
