Our language school in Brighton is located on a modern five-storey campus in the northern part of the city.

The area around London Road has recently been revitalised and restored. It is home to many students and offers a wide selection of trendy shops, cafés and lively bars. -
Facilities:
17 classrooms, 2 computer rooms, lift access and free Wi-Fi, as well as a student lounge, library, cafeteria and outdoor seating area. -
Location:
The sea, the beach and Brighton’s vibrant city centre can be reached within 15 minutes on foot or approximately 10 minutes by bus.
The campus is brand new and features modern classrooms, a bright cafeteria, a well-stocked library and on-site accommodation.

Language courses
English Language Course & Tuition:
Our Brighton Campus language courses are suitable for adults of all ages.

20 or 28 group lessons per week, with additional conversation classes in the Super-Intensive Course or focused IELTS preparation.

One-to-One and Combination Courses:
Standard Course Plus 5 with additional one-to-one tuition, as well as Intensive Course 15 consisting of individual lessons. -
Language Levels:
Beginner A0 to Advanced C2, with IELTS preparation available from A2 level upwards.
Classes generally begin every Monday. If the course start date falls on a public holiday, classes begin on Tuesday. During the summer months, lessons may alternate between morning and afternoon schedules.

Our Brighton Campus language programmes are suitable for adults of all ages.

School leavers, university students and young professionals. -
Working Adults:
Participants typically aged between 30 and 50 years. -
Language Programmes for Older Participants:
Older participants are very welcome. Alternatively, the Brighton 30 Plus programme may be particularly suitable.
For 16-year-olds who feel too mature for a traditional supervised junior language programme in Brighton, we recommend our Brighton Young Adults programme.

Accommodation
Accommodation During Your Language Programme:
Accommodation options at Brighton Campus offer convenient access to daily classes, free Wi-Fi and different levels of comfort. All residences are within a few minutes’ walk of the school.
We recommend the following accommodation options:

Host Family:
Twin or single room with half board. Travel to school on foot or by public transport. -
Oxford Place Residence:
Single room with private bathroom and half board. Modern facilities, meals served in the cafeteria and walking distance to the school. Available for participants aged 16 and 17. -
Pavilion Point Residence:
Single room with private bathroom, available without meals or with half board. Walking distance to the school.
Additional accommodation options include a studio apartment or accommodation in the summer residence.

Activuty Programme
The LISA! team in Brighton organises group activities for participants during their Brighton language programme, including trips to the beach and Brighton Pier, sports activities, cinema and karaoke evenings, as well as creative and cultural events. Three to five free activities are offered each week.

When should I book?
We can usually also accept short-notice bookings. The main bottleneck is usually the flight. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks before departure.
Can you learn English well in Brighton?
Brighton is an attractive destination for learning English in the UK because lessons, city life and language practice by the sea come together closely.
United Kingdom vs. Malta
Language programmes in the United Kingdom stand for authentic British English, a wide variety of cities and a lived language culture, while language courses in Malta offer an English-speaking island environment, short distances and learning under Mediterranean sunshine.
Similar language course in England?
A comparable language course in England would be a programme in Bournemouth or Cambridge.
When do I have to pay?
A deposit of 20% of the total price is due upon conclusion of the contract, with a minimum of £200. The remaining balance is payable 28 days before departure.
What additional costs are there?
Flights, personal expenses, as well as additional nights, transfers or supplements for accommodation and catering depending on the option selected.
How does the first day work?
A placement test takes place on the first day. You will then be placed in the appropriate language level.
Is a language course a solo trip?
As with all our adult language programmes, most participants travel to Brighton alone. From the very first day, you meet interesting people from many countries.
Who will I meet?
International participants from across Europe and all age groups.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Bed linen is provided in all accommodation. In host families, towels must be brought by participants, as well as in residences and studios.
When does the course take place?
Courses usually start every Monday. In summer, lessons may alternate between morning and afternoon depending on level.
Can I book the course without accommodation?
Yes, this is possible. We will be happy to provide the course price without accommodation.
Are these programmes suitable for school pupils?
The information on this page is intended for adults. Independent teenagers aged 16 and over may participate in this programme. Information on supervised junior courses can be found in our Brighton school language programmes.
Can I attend classes together with my travel partner?
Yes, this is usually possible as long as both participants have a similar language level.
What should you do in Brighton?
