REASONS TO CHOOSE A LISA! JUNIOR LANGUAGE STAY IN CALGARY:

  1. Top Location & Setting:
In Calgary, it’s time to put on your cowboy hat and get started! The first part of the English language course takes place in Calgary, where the city skyline rises against the dramatic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. The second part, the final week of the programme, is spent deep in the majestic Canadian Rockies. Students camp in the heart of nature and experience the beauty of the mountains through daily excursions and outdoor adventures. The entire camp is supervised by English teachers and group leaders, and the camp language is English throughout the day. Action, culture and nature – boredom simply isn’t an option here.
  2. International Students:
We guarantee international course groups. Our unique combination of English lessons in Calgary and a camping adventure in the Rocky Mountains is extremely popular with students from all over the world.
  3. Top Language School:
The first part of the English course takes place in Calgary on the campus of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). This modern university campus is located in the north of the city, approximately 10 minutes by bus from downtown Calgary. The campus offers modern classrooms, a library, a cafeteria and sports facilities. The student residences are also located directly on campus.
The second part of the course takes place outdoors in the Rocky Mountains. For one week, all participants camp together in spectacular natural surroundings, taking part in a wide range of activities. All activities are fully supervised by teachers and group leaders. The language concept includes daily English instruction during excursions, allowing students to learn naturally and actively. You will discover Canada, its stunning landscapes and make new friends from all over the world while learning together.
  4. Lessons:
Our language stays in Calgary are suitable for children and teenagers aged 10 to 17, as well as young adults aged 18 to 23.The language school in Calgary is spacious and modern. Classes are formed according to age and level. Lessons in Calgary take place in the mornings.
  5. Supervision:
All our junior language stays are supervised programmes. After lessons, the language school organises an afternoon and evening leisure programme. Weekends are reserved for half-day or full-day excursions. Please note that there are certain periods during which students are not supervised, for example on the way to school. We will be happy to advise you in detail.
  6. Accommodation:
In Calgary, students stay in a residence on campus, meaning that distances are short and easy to manage. Full board is provided: breakfast in the residence, lunch and dinner in the cafeteria or, during excursions, in restaurants or cafés. During the camping week, children and teenagers stay in tents at a private campsite in the mountains. Meals are prepared and eaten at the campsite, often cooked and grilled outdoors.

Free Wi-Fi is available to all students on the Calgary campus. Please note that internet access is often not available during the camping week, and students usually cannot use their mobile phones during this time.
