REASONS TO CHOOSE A LISA! JUNIOR LANGUAGE STAY IN TORONTO:

  1. Top Location:
English language courses take place on the St. George’s Campus of the University of Toronto. This prestigious campus is centrally located near Queen’s Park. Iconic sights such as the CN Tower and other highlights of Old Toronto can be reached on foot in around 30 minutes.
  2. International Students:
We guarantee international course groups. Our students come from all over the world, as LISA! Sprachreisen is one of the few providers with advisory offices in many countries, including Italy, Spain and Scandinavia.
  3. Lessons:
Our language courses in Toronto are designed for children and teenagers aged 12 to 17. The language school is spacious, modern and centrally located. Classes are formed according to age and level. We offer a main course with lessons in the morning.
  4. Supervision:
All our junior language stays are supervised programmes. After lessons, the language school organises an afternoon and evening leisure programme. Weekends are reserved for half-day or full-day excursions. Please note that there are certain periods during which students are not supervised, for example on the way to school. We will be happy to advise you in detail.
  5. Accommodation:
Students stay either with a host family or in a residence. Breakfast and dinner are taken with the host family or in the residence. For lunch, students receive a packed lunch or, when staying in the residence, lunch is served in the school cafeteria.

  6. Learning Success:
A high level of learning success characterises our language courses. This is ensured by carefully selected, highly qualified English teachers specialised in teaching English as a foreign language. Lessons are conducted entirely in English.

  7. Leisure Programme:
The extensive LISA! leisure programme is included in the price and is an integral part of the teaching concept, contributing significantly to learning success. Together, we explore the city and its highlights, such as the CN Tower and the Royal Ontario Museum. We take part in sports activities, go bowling or karting, attend a Toronto Blue Jays baseball game, or enjoy a student party in the evening. At weekends, we organise day trips to Niagara Falls and to the theme park Canada’s Wonderland.

  8. Quality Assurance:
Our language school is accredited by Languages Canada and ALTO. All teachers are specialists in teaching English as a foreign language.

  9. Travel:
We are happy to arrange an affordable flight to Toronto for your child. Travel is unaccompanied. Upon arrival, students are warmly welcomed at the airport and transferred to their accommodation. Arrival and departure transfers on Sundays are included in the course price.

Questions & Answers:

How late can I book Toronto for my child?
Short-notice bookings are often possible. The main bottleneck is usually the flight. We recommend booking at least two weeks before departure.

How much freedom does my child have?
Your child will be busy throughout the day with lessons and activities, but there is also room for individual freedom. Parents looking for a more protected environment may prefer our programmes in Nottingham or Box Hill (England), where lessons and accommodation are located on a closed campus.

What does a language stay in Toronto cost?
A two-week language stay with 20 English lessons per week, accommodation in a single room with a host family and full board costs £2,399. The leisure programme, airport transfers, language course and accommodation are included.

Can friends or siblings share a room?
Yes, we are happy to arrange shared accommodation for friends or family members.

Is there a placement test at the start of the course?
Yes. A placement test takes place on the first day, after which students are assigned to the appropriate level.

When do I need to pay?
Upon conclusion of the contract, a deposit of 20% of the total price (minimum £200), plus any insurance premiums, is due. The remaining balance must be paid 28 days before departure.
