The Spanish lessons for students aged 13 to 17 take place at our language school, located right in the centre of Barcelona. Nearby, around Plaza Catalunya, you will find many shops and cafés.

Location & Facilities:

Lessons are designed to ensure that you learn to speak Spanish fluently in everyday situations – actively, with enjoyment and rapid progress. A special feature of our school in Barcelona is the option to combine your Spanish course with various sports modules. You can play beach volleyball or beach tennis with teenagers from all over the world on Barcelona’s long sandy beach, enjoy a lively flamenco dance course, or take part in exciting water sports sessions. Football enthusiasts can join the popular summer football camp.

LISA! Language Courses:

• At our school in Barcelona, your child will be warmly cared for. Our group leaders and the school team are always on hand as points of contact.

• Our language courses begin on fixed start dates (see course calendar).

• During the language trip, students stay with a host family or, from 12–25 July, in the residence (see Accommodation).

• We also offer Spanish courses for adults in Barcelona. Information about our adult courses can be found under “Adults”.

Spanish & Sport:

With both host family and residence accommodation, the Spanish & Sport programme includes two afternoons per week of beach volleyball and beach tennis on Barcelona’s beautiful sandy beach. You will also explore the promenade by bike. Under the warm Spanish sun, you will not only get a summer tan but stay active, make new friends from many different countries and enjoy exciting games together.
 

Spanish & Dance:

To fiery rhythms, you will learn the art of flamenco dancing on two afternoons per week. This course is ideal for students who love dancing and those who would like to learn more about Andalusian and Latin American folklore while improving their Spanish.
 

Spanish & Water Sports:

After morning lessons, you can take part in water sports on two afternoons per week and conquer the waves of the Mediterranean. You may even learn spectacular techniques in trendy sports such as windsurfing, which was originally invented in the USA.
 

Spanish & Football:

In Barcelona – Spain’s football stronghold – you can take part in the summer football camp, which takes place on four afternoons per week in July after the Spanish course. You will learn about tactics and techniques to help you play as well as the stars of FC Barcelona.

Training takes place at the Ciudad Deportiva stadium of RCD Espanyol, a successful top-league club. Here you will strengthen your Spanish skills, practise intensively with other young players and enjoy playing football together.
You will also experience the FC Barcelona stadium up close and visit the museum to learn more about the club’s history.
 

How Your Child’s Course Runs:

On the arrival day of their LISA! language trip, your child will be welcomed at the airport or railway station by our team or the host family. On the first day of school, students take a placement test and are assigned to the appropriate level.
During the school holidays, your child will learn to speak Spanish fluently. Our programme helps your son or daughter prepare professionally for school exams or improve their grades. In the afternoons and evenings, our group leaders organise a leisure programme together with the school. Weekends are reserved for half-day or full-day excursions as well as time spent with the host family.
Please note that there may be short periods during which students are unsupervised.
