Location & Facilities

Your language lessons take place in a university building right in the centre of Trieste – this is also where your residence is located. The building stands in the heart of the city, just a few steps from Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia. It is housed in a historic palazzo and offers bright, air-conditioned classrooms. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.

Organised Activity Programme:

After lessons, our school team organises shared activities and excursions, such as guided tours through Trieste, trips to Aquileia, Schloss Miramare or – at the weekend – the water park. Students can also take part in a variety of sports, including climbing, swimming in the sea or bowling.
 

LISA! Language Courses for Young Learners:

• LISA! language courses for young learners are perfectly organised, warmly supervised and designed with modern teaching methods for children and teenagers abroad. At our school in Trieste, your child will be well cared for at all times. The school team is always available for support.

• Our young learners’ courses in Trieste begin in summer on set start dates (see course calendar).

• During the language course, students stay in a residence (see Accommodation).

• We also offer Italian courses for adults in Trieste. Further information can be found under “Adults”.

• If you would like to reduce the cost for your child aged 16+, there is the option to join an adult course without a supervised leisure programme.
   

How Your Child’s Course Runs:

On the arrival day of their LISA! language trip, your child will be welcomed by our team at the airport or railway station. On the first day of school, students take a placement test and are assigned to the appropriate level. With us, children learn to speak Italian fluently during their school holidays. Our programmes help your son or daughter improve their school grades or prepare professionally for exams.

After lessons, our group leaders and the school team organise a varied afternoon leisure programme. Weekends are reserved for half-day or full-day excursions as well as shared time with the host family. Please note that there are certain periods when students may be unsupervised.
