Our French language courses take place in the summer in Cannes, in the south of France, right by the sea. REASONS FOR A LISA! LANGUAGE TRIP TO CANNES:

1. Right by the sea:
   Off the coast of Cannes the crystal-blue waters of the Côte d’Azur sparkle. Best known for its film festivals, Cannes is one of the most famous towns in the south of France. The long seafront promenade, the ‘Boulevard de la Croisette’, is perfect for a stroll. The wide sandy beach invites you to swim, sunbathe and play beach volleyball. On the Rue d’Antibes you’ll quickly find the finest summer outfits.
2. Supervision:
   All our junior language courses abroad are by the sea and are supervised. Supervision is provided by group leaders and teachers. There are intervals, for example on the way to school, when your children are independent and not supervised. We will advise you in detail.
3. The language school:
   Our school is housed in a beautiful historic building in the centre of Cannes, set within enclosed green grounds. The beach is a 25-minute walk away. A major highlight is the on-site swimming pool – straight after lessons you can jump into the wonderfully cool water.
4. The lessons:
   Our Cannes programmes are suitable for teenagers aged 16 to 17. Depending on level, determined by a placement test on the Monday after arrival, students have four lessons of French per day. Teaching follows an active, motivating approach to spark enthusiasm for learning.
5. Accommodation:
   Your son or daughter will stay in the student residence in a twin room. Students receive full board, i.e. breakfast and a hot dinner; lunch is in the cafeteria, with packed lunches on excursion days.
6. The leisure programme:
   The extensive LISA! leisure programme is included in the price, forms part of the teaching concept and contributes significantly to progress. After lessons in the afternoons and evenings, our group leaders and the school organise activities for students. Our trips for 16- to 17-year-olds particularly suit young adults looking for independence and adventure. Each week features adrenaline-fuelled activities such as Laser Quest, trampolining at Jump XL and high-ropes courses, followed by a relaxing half-day with time to unwind on the beach, go snorkelling or head out sailing. Weekends are for getting away from it all, with excursions to famous destinations such as Nice and Monaco, or a refreshing day at the Aquasplash water park. Evenings on campus are lively too: look forward to barbecues, McDonald’s, beach evenings, plus film, disco, games and cabaret nights. In Cannes, students may stay out later in the evenings: during the week until 10 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 am.
7. Quality standards:
   All teachers specialise in teaching their native language, French, as a foreign language. Our school is accredited by SOUFFLE, Jeunesse et Sports (of the French Ministry of Sport and Education), FLE and EAQUALS.

8. Die Anreise: 
   Flights are not included in the prices of our language courses for teenagers. We recommend flying to Nice airport. The return transfer from Nice airport is already included in price. Arrivals should take place on Sundays and departures on Saturdays. Although we do not provide a chaperone service for the flight itself, our friendly school team will greet all students upon arrival at the destination airport and accompany them to their accommodation. When should I book Cannes for my child?
Please book as early as you can. Popular dates are often fully booked by January for Easter and summer. Ideally, book in December for the following Easter or summer holidays. In some locations we can also arrange very late bookings. The flight is usually the tricky part. The later you book, the more expensive the ticket tends to be. Please call us for detailed advice.

How much does a language trip to Cannes cost?
A two-week trip with 20 French lessons per week and full-board accommodation in a twin room in the residence costs £2519. The extensive leisure programme, all airport transfers, the course and the accommodation are included in the price.

Can I share a room with my friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/brother/sister?
We are happy to arrange shared accommodation for friends or family members.

Is there a placement test at the start of the language trip?
Yes, a placement takes place on the first day. Students are then placed in the appropriate level.

When do I have to pay?
On conclusion of the contract (after receipt of the booking confirmation and the security certificate), a deposit of 20% of the total price is due, at least £200, plus any insurance premiums. The remaining balance is payable 28 days before departure. Parents will find all the details on the invoice.
