In Exeter, children aged 7 to 17 and adults learn English in a friendly, family-like atmosphere, improving their pronunciation not only in class but also during excursions in the surrounding area.

Location & Facilities:

Our beautiful language school building in Exeter is centrally located, just a few minutes from the River Exe and the city centre with its many shops. The famous Exeter Cathedral and Exeter Castle are only a 10-minute walk from the school. The school extends over several floors and offers bright, spacious classrooms for our families. It also features a kitchen and a lovely inner courtyard with a garden, which participants are welcome to use during breaks.

Behind the “LISA! Study Abroad” family language course is a modern teaching concept designed to help you and your family achieve your personal goals within just a few weeks while improving your language skills as effectively as possible.
 

LISA! Study Abroad Family Language Courses:

• Our family language courses start at Easter and during the summer on fixed dates (see course calendar). Arrival is on Sunday and departure on Saturday.

• Families stay with carefully selected host families with half board or in an apartment (see accommodation options).
   

Family Holiday with Children Aged 7 to 17:

At our language school in Exeter, the whole family can learn English, with parents and children attending separate courses. Children aged 7 to 10 receive 20 lessons per week in the mornings, with a maximum of 10 participants per class. Lessons take place separately from the adult courses.

Students aged 11 to 17 receive 20 lessons per week in the mornings, with a maximum of 14 participants per class. These lessons are also held separately from the adult courses.

For both student courses, 5 afternoon activities and 1 evening activity are offered per week. A full-day excursion takes place at the weekend.

Language Courses for Adults (18+) are held in mini groups with a maximum of 6 participants per class. The culture course includes 32 lessons and consists of: 16 lessons of conversation classes per week, 16 lessons dedicated to cultural excursions (including one weekday afternoon excursion, one Saturday excursion, and one social evening per week). This course is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their everyday English while enjoying the beautiful sights of Exeter and Devon. Thanks to our small class sizes, our teachers can focus on the individual needs of each participant and tailor the programme to the group’s interests.

The students’ leisure programme can also be booked optionally by adults who wish to spend the afternoons together with their children.
