Location & Facilities:

Our language school in Izmir is located in the district of Karsiyaka, approximately 20 minutes from the tourist city center. The school is surrounded by numerous cafés, bars, restaurants, and shops. One of our students’ favorite spots is the Barinak Café, known for its sea view and guaranteed sunshine.

Organized Leisure Program:

Our friendly school team in Izmir knows exactly where to enjoy the best local cuisine, which concerts and theater performances are currently showing, and where to find the most attractive shops. Together, students organize trips to the beautiful beaches of Foca, Cesme, and Kusadasi. A weekend trip to Bodrum, often referred to as the “St. Tropez of Turkey,” is also highly recommended.

LISA! Language courses:

• Our language trips start every Monday. If the course start date falls on a public holiday, lessons begin on Tuesday. Beginner courses start on fixed dates (see course calendar).

• Our language trips in Izmir are suitable for all levels, from Beginner (A1) to near-native proficiency (C2).

• During your language stay in Izmir, you can choose to live with a host family, in a shared apartment, in a private apartment, or in a hotel (see accommodation options).

Your Course Schedule:

On the day of arrival of your LISA! Study abroad language trip, you will check into your accommodation. On your first day of school, you will be placed in a level according to your language proficiency, ensuring optimal learning success. After class, you will have plenty of time to explore the city. The school offers activities several times a week. The school team is happy to provide tips on where to go out, shop, find the best coffee, or which festival is currently taking place. You are also free to explore your destination independently. There will always be like-minded people to discover the city with. Interacting with locals is an excellent way to deepen and practice what you have learned in class. Staying with a host family offers the advantage of applying your Turkish directly in everyday situations. Shopping and going out provide many opportunities to speak Turkish.
