Location & Facilities:

Our language school in Lisbon is the leading, award-winning school for Portuguese as a foreign language. It is located in the heart of Lisbon near Saldanha Square. The old town, the sea and many other sights are just a short walk or public transport ride away.
 

The school is situated in a historic building and offers 18 modern classrooms. There is also a cosy lounge, a balcony, a kitchen area and free internet access (computers and Wi-Fi). The school is surrounded by restaurants, shops and cafés.


  

Organised Leisure Programme:

Every week, the school organises six different activities, such as film screenings and lectures on site, guided visits to museums and monuments, evening outings to live music concerts, bars and traditional dinners, as well as half-day excursions to sights on Saturdays. These activities give students a genuine insight into Portuguese life and culture.

LISA! Language Courses:

• Our language trips begin every Monday. If the start date falls on a public holiday, lessons begin on Tuesday. Beginner courses start once a month (see calendar).

• Our language trips in Lisbon are suitable for all levels, from beginner (A1) to near-native (C2).

• During your course, you can stay with a host family, in a shared flat, or in a student residence (see accommodation options).

Portuguese & Surfing:

The surfing course takes place at a professional surf school and gives students the chance to combine language learning with surf lessons. Students meet in the early afternoon and are taken to beaches around Lisbon for classes. Transport, equipment (wetsuit and surfboard) and insurance are included. Lessons are held depending on the weather and sea conditions, and may also take place at weekends. The surf course consists of 5 sessions of 90 minutes each over two weeks.

Course Schedule:

On the day of arrival, you move into your accommodation. On your first school day, you will be placed in the right level according to your knowledge. This ensures optimal learning success. After class, you will have plenty of time to explore the city. The school offers weekly activities, and the team is happy to give tips on where to go out, shop, have the best coffee or which festival is taking place. Students can also discover the city on their own, and will always find like-minded people to join them. Speaking with locals is an excellent way to deepen and practise what you learn. Host family accommodation has the advantage that you can use your new skills straight away. Shopping and going out also provide many opportunities to speak Portuguese.
