LANGUAGE SCHOOL in Tropea
Our participants learn in an international atmosphere in our language school in the heart of Tropea and have the opportunity to use their newly learnt language knowledge everyday in the many restaurants, bars and shops in the surrounding area.
Location & Facilities:
Our language school is housed in a beautiful, typically Italian building in the heart of the town, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. The school features bright classrooms, a small cinema, and two terraces, where our students love to spend their breaks and socialise in the sunshine.

Organised free time programme:
The friendly school team will happily organise a film evenings and day trips e.g. to Pompeji, Reggio Calabria and to the national museum, to Sicily or led city tours through Tropea as well as trips to restaurants.

LISA! Language Courses:

Our language courses start every Monday. If the start date falls on a public holiday, the course will begin on Tuesday (see calendar for details).

Our language study programmes in Tropea are suitable for all levels, from beginner (A1) to near-native speaker (C2).

During your stay, you can choose to live in a studio or share a flat with other students (see Accommodation section).
Italian & Windsurfing:
We also offer Italian courses combined with great free time activities. So you can learn to windsurf after your language course. The windsurfing courses are led in a group of a maximum of 4 people. The classes are organised and led by experienced teachers and is made up of a theoretical and practical part, wich include more trips on the sea. The windsurfing school follow the excellent school material from HIFLY. The wetsuit and life jacket are provided and are already included in the price.
The course for beginners takes place two days per week with a total of three hours per week. The course for advanced learners takes place three days per week with a total of six hours per week. The course is optional and can be booked with or without a language course from April to October. The wind surfing course takes place in Capo Vaticano. The transfer to and from the surf school is already included in the price! Since the wind surfing classes are dependent upon the weather, the classes combined with the language course can take place in the morning or in the afternoon.
Italian & Catamaran sailing:
In Tropea we also offer Italian courses combined with great free time activities. So you can learn catamaran sailing after the language course. The classes are led by one of our experienced teachers and are made up of a theoretical and practical part, where more trips are out at sea. The wetsuits and life jackets are provided and already included in the price.
The course for beginners is two days per week with a total of four hours per week. The course for advanced learners is three days a week with a total of six hours per week. The course is optional and can be booked with or without a language course from April to October. The catamaran sailing takes place in Capo Vaticano. The transfer to and from the sailing school is already included in the price! Since the catamaran sailing lessons are dependent upon the weather, the lessons with the language course can take place in the morning or in the afternoon.
Language & Culture Course:
Our Cultural Study Programme in Tropea is designed especially for students aged 60 and over. Courses take place in small groups at our language school, where participants of similar age and from various countries learn Italian together and broaden their cultural knowledge. The leisure programme is varied and engaging, including cooking evenings, visits to local markets, Italian film nights, and guided city walks in Tropea. We can also arrange optional visits to the theatre, concerts, and museums.

Full-day excursion to Sibari and Corigliano, with the option to enjoy lunch in a traditional osteria. In spring, admire the almond, cherry, and peach blossoms along the way! -

Your language course in Tropea:
On your first day at our language school in Tropea, you will be placed into an appropriately-levelled class after taking a language proficiency test. This guarantees an excellent and successful learning process. After class you’ll have plenty of free time to explore Tropea and its surrounding area. Our language school offers a variety of organised activities throughout the duration of the course and our team of staff at the school will be happy to advise you on the best things to see and do around Tropea. They can also recommend places to go shopping, where to get a coffee and the best bars and clubs. You can also choose to explore Tropea independently, although it won’t be difficult to find fellow Italian learners to go with! Practice makes perfect when it comes to learning a foreign language, so we suggest that you take every available opportunity to practice your newly-learned Italian with locals. Staying with a host family is the perfect way to make use of what you learn in class every day.
