LISA! Language Courses:
  • Our language courses start every Monday. If the start date falls on a public holiday, lessons begin on Tuesday (see calendar for details).

  • Our language study programmes in Trieste are suitable for all levels, from beginner (A1) to near-native speaker (C2).

  • During your stay, you may choose to live with a host family, in a private studio, or in a shared apartment with other students (see Accommodation section).

Italian & sailing:

We offer Italian courses combined with great free time activities at our language school in Triest. So you can have sailing sessions with a 'Comet 860' at one of our professional sailing schools after the language classes. These are situated in Duini, around 30 minutes away from our school with pubic transport. The  courses are made up of 8 hours of private classes split over four days. The sailing classes are optional with or without the language course. Since the sailing course is dependent upon the weather, the classes can take place in the morning or in the afternoon. We recommend a trip of at least two weeks.

Italian & cooking:

In our cooking courses for Italian cuisine enthusiasts, you can practice your newly learnt Italian language skills when preparing typical Italian dishes from the region. You prepare traditional 'true Italian' receipes with easy and natural ingredients. The cooking course takes place three evenings with a total of approximately 10 hours per week (three classes each 3.5 hours). It is possible to book this course for four weeks. The maximum number of participants is two persons, so the course is best suited for friends or couples. At the end of the cooking course, you eat together with your teacher. The cooking course is optional with or without a language course.

Your language course in Trieste:

On your first day at our language school in Trieste, you will be placed into an appropriately-levelled class after taking a language proficiency test. This guarantees an excellent and successful learning process. After class you’ll have plenty of free time to explore Trieste and the surrounding area. Our language school offers a variety of organised activities throughout the duration of the course and our team of staff at the school will be happy to advise you on the best things to see and do around Trieste. They can also recommend places to go shopping, where to get a coffee and the best bars and clubs. You can also choose to explore Trieste independently, although it won’t be difficult to find fellow Italian learners to go with! Practice makes perfect when it comes to learning a foreign language, so we suggest that you take every available opportunity to practice your newly-learned Italian with locals. Staying with a host family is the perfect way to make use of what you learn in class every day.
