Our language school in Siena is located in the heart of the old town. Here, students learn Italian in a historic and international atmosphere, and in the many restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, they can quickly put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.

Location & facilities:

Our language school is situated right in the centre of Siena, only a few steps from the famous cathedral. All the main sights, numerous restaurants, cafés, gelaterias, and bars are within easy walking distance.
 

The school is housed in an old palazzo with high ceilings and has a modern, welcoming design. Two lounges with a piano invite students to relax during breaks. Fast, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.

Organised leisure programme:

The friendly school team organises city tours and walks, shared aperitivo evenings in various cafés, and visits to Siena’s most important museums and cultural institutions. Once a week, the school also hosts short lectures on cultural topics.
 

LISA! Language Courses:

• Our courses start every Monday; for beginners, approximately every second Monday (see calendar for exact dates). If the start date falls on a public holiday, courses begin on Tuesday.

• Our Siena language courses are suitable for all levels, from beginner (A1) to near-native (C2).

• During your stay, you will live with a host family or in a shared apartment (see Accommodation).

Italian & Cooking:

This course combines Italian lessons with two cooking classes per week. On two evenings, together with other participants and a chef, you will prepare a typical Tuscan three-course dinner and then enjoy it together.
 

Language & Culture Courses:

Our Language & Culture Courses in Siena are designed for curious learners who wish to immerse themselves in the culture, architecture, and culinary delights of Siena and Tuscany. LISA! Language & Culture Courses are study trips where you learn Italian in the morning and enjoy an included cultural programme in the afternoons and evenings. You will gain deep insights into Italian cultural history, cuisine, and lifestyle. These trips are equally suitable for singles, couples, or friends travelling together.
 

Four types of cultural courses in Siena:

Language & Culture Course:
This programme has no age restriction. The course lasts 1–3 weeks and begins every Monday (fixed dates for beginners). After morning language lessons, the course includes 4 cultural lessons per week. These begin with a short introduction at the school, followed by sessions held at culturally significant sites in Siena. Lessons may take place in the Contrada museums, Palazzo Pubblico, the Sanctuary of Saint Catherine, Santa Maria della Scala, the cathedral, etc.
 

Language & Culture Course Premium:
These courses are designed for participants aged 35+. They last 1–3 weeks and begin every Monday (fixed dates for beginners).

• Full-day excursions

• Wine tasting

After morning Italian lessons, the course includes 4 cultural lessons per week, both at school and on site (e.g. Contrada museums, Palazzo Pubblico, Sanctuary of Saint Catherine, Santa Maria della Scala, the cathedral, etc.). In addition, the Premium course features two evenings per week cooking a typical Tuscan four-course dinner with a chef, plus wine tasting and a half-day excursion (every 2 weeks).

Language & Culture Course Deluxe:
These courses are designed for participants aged 25+. They last 4 weeks and begin every Monday (fixed dates for beginners).
