International participants study at our language school in Antibes. They can quickly apply their new language skills in everyday life while going to nearby restaurants, museums and shops.

Location & Facilities:

Our French Language School is located only 15 minutes by foot from the city centre of Antibes. 

The school, a magnificent Provençal stone building, is surrounded by a large, beautiful garden with about 150 square metres, in which students canrelax during breaks and enjoy a stunning view of the harbour and the Bay of Angels.

 

In the summer months, French lessons may also take place in the other school building, Le Port. The building is in the heart of Antibes’ old town, just a few steps from the harbour and the sea.
 

Organised activity programme:

Our friendly school team enjoysorganising activities for our students, including trips to the principality of Monaco, the town of Grasse (the world capital of perfume), or to the countryside around Nice. We also visit the 760-metre high mountain village of Gourdon, which offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean coast and across the cities of Nice, Antibes and Cannes. Trips to southern French markets, which are typical of the region can also be organised.
 

LISA! Language courses:

• Our language courses start every Monday. If the course starts on a public holiday, the course starts on Tuesday (see calendar).

• During your language study trip you will live with a host family or in a studio. (see accommodations).

French & cuisine:

At our language school in Antibes you can combine your French course with activities centred on French cuisine. After the standard course, participants take part in culinary activities on four afternoons per week (Monday to Friday). These sessions are led by a teacher and run as group classes in Antibes. The programme includes, among other things, a wine tasting as well as cooking and baking workshops. Accommodation is in a studio close to the beach. In the mornings a shuttle bus runs from the accommodation to the language school.

Language and culture trip 50 Plus:

Our cultural trip to Antibes is especially designed for students over 50 years old. You will learn the French language together with students of your age and different nationalities and expand your knowledge. Our leisure program is rich and includes 3 afternoon activities and a weekend excursion on Saturday. Part of the program includes visits to museums and theaters, a cooking workshop, a tasting of local products, a walk along the coast, a trip to Grasse and a visit to a perfumery, a trip to Paul de Vence and Cannes. On Saturday we will go to Nice or Monaco. Accommodation will be in a studio, breakfast and dinner will be shared with the other students at the school.
 

The procedure of your language course:

On the arrival day of your LISA! Language Travel you will arrive at your accommodation. On the first day of school you will be divided into levels according to your level. This is how we guarantee optimal learning success. After the course you will have enough time to explore the city. The school offers activities several times a week. The school team is happy to give tips on where to go out and store, where to get the best coffee and which festival is currently taking place. Everyone can also explore the resort on their own. There will always be like-minded people with whom you can go exploring. Also to deepen and test what you have learned, the exchange with the locals is an excellent complement to the language lessons. Homestay accommodations have the advantage of allowing you to practice what you have learned. Shopping and going out offer many opportunities to speak French.
