Our French courses in Quebec are designed for adults aged 18 and over and offer a range of options, from traditional group lessons to specialist programmes, allowing you to learn French intensively and in line with your personal goals.

Courses

Standard Course

The Standard Course is our classic French language programme. It is ideal for participants who would like to develop their language skills in a structured way within an international learning environment.

  • 20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each)

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

The Standard Course provides a solid foundation for improving both spoken and written French with greater confidence.


Super Intensive Course 30

 

The Super Intensive Course 30 is designed for participants who would like to learn more intensively and gain additional language practice in a shorter period of time.

  • 30 group lessons per week (45 minutes each)

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

The increased number of lessons creates a highly intensive learning experience and helps participants make noticeable progress in a short time.


Super Intensive Course 36

The Super Intensive Course 36 is our most comprehensive group course and is particularly suitable for participants with ambitious learning goals.

  •  36 group lessons per week (45 minutes each)

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

This course offers very intensive language training and plenty of opportunities to actively use and develop your French.


Standard Course Plus 5

The Standard Course Plus 5 combines group lessons with additional one-to-one tuition, providing a more personalised learning experience.

  •  20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each) plus 5 individual lessons per week (60 minutes each)

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

This combination allows you to benefit from group learning while also focusing on your individual language needs.


One-to-One Course 15

The One-to-One Course 15 is designed for participants who would like a highly personalised learning experience.

  •  15 individual lessons per week (60 minutes each)

  •  Personalised tuition

  •  Suitable for all levels

This course is particularly suitable for participants with specific learning objectives who value maximum flexibility and individual attention.

French & Cooking

This programme combines French lessons with practical experience of French-inspired cuisine.

  •  20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each) plus 20 cooking lessons per week

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

After French lessons in the morning, participants spend four hours cooking each afternoon on five days per week. The cooking course also takes place on the Collège Mérici campus and is led by professional local chefs. Participants learn how to prepare dishes such as Pouding Chômeur, Poutine and Tarte au Sucre d'Érable (maple syrup pie).

Start dates: 27 July 2026; 3 August 2026


French & Music

This programme combines French language learning with musical training and practical performance.

  •  20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each) plus 10 music training and practice sessions per week (60 minutes each)

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Suitable for all levels

After French lessons in the morning, participants receive two hours of instrumental tuition each afternoon on five days per week at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec. Before travelling to Quebec, participants are asked about their preferred instrument and current level so that a suitable programme can be arranged.

Teacher Training

This programme is designed for teachers of French who would like to further develop their language and teaching skills.

  •  20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each) plus 20 workshop sessions for French teachers per week

  •  Average of 10 students, maximum 15

  •  Minimum level: B1

After French lessons in the morning, participants attend afternoon workshops focusing on strategies and techniques for planning and delivering French lessons, while also sharing ideas and experiences with other teachers.

Start dates: 13 July 2026; 20 July 2026; 27 July 2026


Language and Culture Programme

The Language and Culture Programme 50+ is designed for participants aged 50 and over who would like to learn French alongside international participants of a similar age while experiencing the culture of Quebec in greater depth.

  •  20 group lessons per week (45 minutes each)

  •  International learning groups for participants aged 50+

  •  Suitable for all levels

The afternoon and evening programme includes guided tours of Old Quebec and historic landmarks, visits to museums, galleries and artisan workshops, traditional music and cooking experiences, wine and cheese tastings with local producers, nature walks and excursions into the surrounding countryside, as well as social activities such as café meet-ups, film evenings and group dinners.
