English Language Courses for Students Aged 13 to 20

Our English language courses for students are part of our student language travel programmes in Brighton, which take place on selected dates during the summer. The courses are suitable for students aged 13 to 20 years and combine English lessons with the seaside, an exciting leisure programme and an international atmosphere on the south coast of England.

Language courses

Main Course English (13–20 years)

The Main Course is the classic student language course in Brighton. It combines structured English lessons with an international learning group, supervised activities and daily life with an English host family.

• 20 group lessons per week, each lasting 45 minutes

• Lessons take place Monday to Friday in the morning, approximately 9:15 am – 12:30 pm

• Average of 11 participants, maximum of 15

• Suitable for all language levels from A1 onwards

The Main Course also includes five afternoon activities, one evening activity, and one full-day excursion per week. This allows students to use English not only in the classroom but throughout the entire day.

Super Intensive English Course (13–20 years)

The Super Intensive Course is designed for students who want to learn English intensively in a short period of time and maximise their speaking practice.

• 28 group lessons per week, each lasting 45 minutes

• Lessons take place Monday to Friday in the morning, approximately 9:15 am – 12:30 pm, with additional classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

• Average of 11 participants, maximum of 15

• Suitable for all language levels from A1 onwards

The Super Intensive Course also includes three afternoon activities, one evening activity, and one full-day excursion per week. Compared with the Main Course, the key difference is the higher teaching intensity, providing students with even more opportunities for active language practice.

Learning Success

During our language programmes in Brighton, students learn not only in the classroom but also in everyday life. They put what they have learned into practice while staying with their host family, on excursions, during leisure activities and by the seaside. This enables them to gain greater confidence in speaking within a short period of time, use grammar more naturally and improve their pronunciation significantly. Many of our students sound noticeably more British after just two weeks of lessons.
