Ardingly College is situated on a historic school campus surrounded by nature. A large lake is just a short walk away. All classrooms are spacious, welcoming and equipped with a TV and DVD player. Your teachers are specially trained to teach English to young people using the latest teaching methods. In Ardingly, you'll quickly learn to speak English fluently.

LISA! Summer School Ardingly –
Elite-level English language courses for school students.

At the prestigious Ardingly College, students aged 10 to 17 learn English in small groups of 12 students on average, with a maximum of 17 participants. The standard course comprises 20 group lessons per week, each lasting 45 minutes, using modern teaching materials. All levels are catered for, from beginner to advanced. On completion of the language course, students receive a certificate documenting their learning achievements.

Accommodation is provided in the school's own residence, with full board included. The course price also includes an extensive, compulsory leisure programme and return airport transfers from London Heathrow or Gatwick.

How your child's language course works:

On the day of arrival for their LISA! Language Courses abroad trip, your child will receive a warm welcome from our supervisors at the airport. On the first day of school, students are placed in classes according to their level of English. We help your children learn to speak fluently during the school holidays. On our Study Abroad for school students programmes, we professionally prepare your son or daughter for their Abitur or Realschulabschluss examinations or help them improve their school grades.

After lessons, our group leaders work with the language school to organise a leisure programme for students in the afternoons and evenings. Weekends are reserved for half-day or full-day excursions. Please note that there are periods when your children will be unsupervised.

English and horse riding:

The English and horse riding programme in Ardingly combines learning English with your passion for horses. After your English lessons, with 20 lessons per week, you'll go horse riding on three afternoons each week. You'll have the opportunity to improve your riding skills, gain new experience in the saddle and enjoy the beautiful countryside of southern England.

The riding programme is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Beginners will learn the basics of horse riding and gain their first experience with horses, while more advanced riders can develop their existing skills. The focus is on enjoying horse riding and spending time with the horses.

Alongside your English lessons and riding sessions, you can look forward to a varied leisure programme with group activities and fellow students from around the world. You'll not only improve your English skills but also become more confident around horses, make new friends and enjoy an unforgettable language holiday in England.

English and STEM:

The English and STEM programme in Ardingly combines learning English with fascinating insights into the world of science and technology. Alongside 20 English lessons per week, you'll explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics on three afternoons each week.

The focus is on hands-on learning, creative thinking and solving problems together. You'll have the opportunity to explore your curiosity, develop new skills and engage with interesting scientific and technical topics. At the same time, the programme encourages creativity, logical thinking and teamwork.
