LISA! Study Abroad
LANGUAGE COURSES in Galway
At our small boutique language school in the heart of Galway, our students learn in a family-like atmosphere and can quickly put their newly acquired language skills into practice in the nearby restaurants, museums, and shops.
Location & Facilities:
Our language school is housed in an 18th-century mill on the River Corrib in the centre of Galway. From the school windows, there are stunning views of the river with its swans and wild birds, as well as of Galway Bay and the hills of County Clare in the distance.

The sea is only a 10-minute walk away. Small bars, shops, cafés, and Galway’s lovely shopping streets are also just a few steps away. The language school is among the best in Ireland.

Organised Leisure Programme:
Our friendly school team is delighted to organise city tours, day trips to the breathtaking landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, or the impressive square-shaped Bunratty Castle. In addition, free vocabulary, history, and culture lessons about Ireland are offered. The school team often goes with students to pubs or to typical Irish folk live performances. Cinema or bowling evenings can also be arranged. There are often traditional parties for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, or Christmas.
LISA! Language Courses:
-
Our courses begin every Monday. If the start date falls on a public holiday, the course begins on Tuesday (see calendar).
-
Our Super-Intensive Course in Galway is recognised in several German federal states as educational leave.
-
Our courses in Galway are suitable for levels from elementary (A2) to advanced (C1).
-
During your course, you will stay either with a host family, in a shared flat with other participants, or in an apartment (see Accommodation).
The Structure of Your Course:
On the day of arrival of your LISA! course, you will move into your accommodation. On the first day of school, you will be placed into levels according to your existing knowledge. This ensures optimal learning success. After lessons, there will be enough time to explore the city. The school offers several activities per week. The school team is happy to give advice on where to go out and shop, where to find the best coffee, and which festivals are currently taking place.
Everyone is also free to explore the destination on their own. There will always be like-minded people to join you on your adventures. Interacting with locals provides an excellent opportunity to practise and consolidate what you have learned. Staying with a host family has the advantage of being able to apply your new knowledge straight away. Shopping and going out offer countless opportunities to speak English.
Language Diplomas:
At our school in Galway, we offer the following exam preparation course: IELTS preparation.
Please note:

-
The examination fee must always be paid on site. For details of the fee, please see the price table.
