FAQ

Customer Questions and Answers (FAQ):

How far in advance should I book?

We can usually accommodate bookings at short notice. The main limitation is often flight availability and accommodation capacity. We recommend booking at least 2 to 6 weeks before departure.

Is Brighton a good place to learn English?

Brighton is an excellent destination for learning English in the United Kingdom because classroom learning, everyday British life and language practice by the sea come together naturally.

United Kingdom vs. Malta

Language programmes in the United Kingdom offer authentic British English, a rich language culture and a wide variety of cities. Language programmes in Malta offer an English-speaking island environment, short distances and learning under the Mediterranean sun.

Is there a similar language programme elsewhere in England?

Comparable programmes in England can be found in Bournemouth and Cambridge.

When do I have to pay?

A deposit of 20% of the travel price is due upon conclusion of the contract, with a minimum deposit of £200. The remaining balance must be paid 28 days before departure.

What additional costs should I expect?

Flights, personal expenses, transfers, additional nights, special dietary supplements and, depending on the accommodation selected, other optional services.

What happens on the first day?

A placement test takes place on the first day of classes. Participants are then assigned to the appropriate language level.

Is a language programme also suitable for solo travellers?

As with many adult language programmes, most participants travel to Brighton on their own. New international friendships often begin from the very first day.

Who will I meet?

International participants from many different countries, primarily adults aged 30 and over.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

In host families, bed linen and towels are provided. In the residences, bed linen is provided, but participants are asked to bring their own towels.

When do classes take place?

Courses begin every Monday. If a course start date falls on a public holiday, classes begin on Tuesday.

Can I book the language course without accommodation?

Yes, this is possible. We will be happy to provide the course price without accommodation.

Are these programmes suitable for teenagers?

The information on this page is intended for adults aged 30 and over. Information about supervised programmes for younger learners can be found in our Brighton junior language programmes.

Can I attend the same class as my travel companion?

Yes, provided that both participants have a similar language level.

What should I do while in Brighton?

A walk along the seafront promenade, a visit to Brighton Pier, the Royal Pavilion and relaxing by the sea are among the most popular activities.
