At our language school located in the heart of Sydney, students learn English in an international setting, with plenty of opportunities to put new language skills into practice in nearby restaurants, museums, and shops.

Location & Facilities:

Situated centrally in Sydney, with the ocean, green parks and the Opera House within easy reach. The area around the school offers numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. The school features modern classrooms, two student lounges, and a kitchen and dining area.
 

Computer workstations and complimentary Wi-Fi are available throughout the school. Bondi Beach can be reached in about 40 minutes using public transport, while Manly Beach is accessible by a picturesque ferry ride of under an hour. The school is especially popular for long-term language courses of eight weeks or more.
 

Organised Leisure Programme

The friendly school team organises a variety of activities for students, such as film and cinema evenings, football, volleyball or basketball games, pub evenings or beach barbecues. Excursions are also arranged, for instance to the aquarium or zoo, yoga sessions, or trips to the Blue Mountains or Australia’s Hunter Valley wine region.
 

LISA! Language Courses:

• Courses in Sydney start every Monday. If the start date falls on a public holiday, courses begin on the following Tuesday. (Refer to the calendar).

• Courses are offered for language levels from Beginner (A1) up to Advanced (C1).

• Accommodation is arranged in selected lodgings (see the Accommodation page).

Course Procedure:

On your arrival day, you will be transferred to your accommodation. On the first school day, you will take a placement test to determine the correct course level. After your lessons, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the city. The school hosts regular activities during the week, and the team is happy to share tips on places to eat, shop, find the best coffee, and current festivals. You’re also encouraged to explore Sydney independently, you’re bound to meet like-minded people. Staying with a host family offers even more opportunities to practise English during everyday activities like shopping and going out.

Exam Preparations & Diplomas:

Our Sydney school offers preparation courses for the IELTS exam and Cambridge Certificates (FCE, CAE, CPE).

Important notice:

• A sufficient language level is required to enrol in exam preparation courses: IELTS from B1, FCE from B2, CAE from C1, CPE from C2. Please note, placement into these courses depends on the initial placement test.

• Exams typically take place during the final week of the course, so some lessons may be limited.

• IELTS exam registration must be completed online in advance via the IELTS website: www.ielts.org. The exam fee is payable in person, with details found in the price table.

• For Cambridge certificates, the written exams (Papers 1–3) are scheduled within the last week of the course, while the oral exams (Papers 4–5) usually follow within one week after course end. Prices for exam courses generally include approximately one extra week of accommodation. However, dates may change—so flight flexibility is advised.
