The capital city of Ecuador lies in a valley of the Andes about 2,800 meters above the sea level. Quito is surrounded by majestic mountains and volcanoes. Many travellers stop here to hike in the Andes or to go to the Galapagos Islands. The large building of our school is located in the green neighbourhood of ‘Bellavista’. The historic old town part and the nightlife hotspot of Mariscal can be reached easily by the public transport. Quito is the oldest capital city of South America and has numerous churches and secular buildings in the colonial style. Colourful houses with red roofs hide cafés, restaurants, small shops and interesting museums. Ecuador is famous for colourful markets, the most famous of which is ‘Otavalo’. Here you'll find an exotic mixture of colours, sounds and smells. In the evening local people meet in pubs to dance salsa. The stunning landscape of the Andes and peaks covered with snow attract both climbers and hikers.  In the province of Cañar you can admire impressive ruins of the Inca.  Hidden temples and stories about Inca treasures will make your trip an adventure.
