Our language school is quietly located in the heart of the historic centre of Barrio del Carmen, right next to the Serrano Towers. There are several tapas bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops nearby. The old town, the cathedral and the Turia River Park are all within easy walking distance.

Location & facilities:

The school has a unique interior design. It was designed by young artists in a colourful way and with a lot of esprit. They created a unique atmosphere that is unrivalled in this form.

The language school offers plenty of light and space on 3 floors. Our students can spend their breaks in the cosy lounge and cook together in the modern kitchen.

 

The long beach 'Malvarrosa' is only 15 minutes away from our school by public transport.
From language level B2 (more advanced), teaching materials must be purchased on site (€24).

Socio-cultural leisure programme at our language school in Valencia:

All our Spanish language courses include 5 lessons of additional social or cultural leisure activities that help to immediately apply and consolidate newly learnt language skills, make friends and simply have fun! Course participants get to know the Spanish culture even better, cook together and explore their destination Valencia in an entertaining and educational way. The following activities are included:

• Language exchange with other students - an ideal opportunity to speak Spanish and get to know other course members from all over the world!

• Visit to the centre of Valencia and sightseeing tour - don't miss the city's great sights, stroll with us through dreamy alleyways and experience the Spanish mentality in the city's lively squares!
  
   

• We welcome all course participants with a paella welcome party - perfect for getting to know other course participants in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the Spanish national dish!

• There will be cooking! From paella to tapas and gazpacho - our chef Nando will teach all interested participants typical Spanish dishes. An experience not to be missed!

• Cinema day: One afternoon we show the classics of Spanish cinema. 

• In interesting and entertaining lectures on history, music, traditions, art and sights, course participants learn interesting facts about Spanish culture

LISA! language courses:

• Our language courses start every Monday. Courses for beginners start on fixed dates. If the course starts on a public holiday, the course starts on Tuesday (see calendar).

• Our language holidays in Valencia are suitable for levels from beginner (A1) to near-native speaker (C2).

• Our super intensive language course in Valencia is recognised as educational leave in several German states.

• During your language study trip, you will live with a host family or in a shared flat (see accommodation).

Spanish & more:

In addition to the language course, our language school offers courses in tennis, horse riding and salsa:

Riding:

The riding course comprises 8 lessons of 60 minutes each in 2 weeks and takes place from Monday to Friday in small groups. The courses are offered by a professional riding school. The distance to the language school is approx. 20 minutes on foot. The minimum stay is 2 weeks.
Course start: Every Monday (except August)

Tennis:

The tennis course comprises 10 lessons of 50 min individual lessons and takes place from Monday to Friday. The courses are offered by a professional tennis school. The distance to the school is approx. 20 minutes on foot. The minimum stay is 2 weeks.

Salsa & Bachata:

In our salsa course, students learn how to swing their hips under the guidance of Javi, our professional dance instructor. In the evening, it's off to the 'salsotecas' to try out the new dance steps!  The minimum stay is 2 weeks.

The programme of your language course:

On the arrival day of your LISA! language course you will arrive at your accommodation. On the first day of class, you will be divided into levels according to your level of knowledge. This is how we guarantee optimum learning success. After the course, you will have enough time to explore the city. The school organises activities several times a week. The school team will be happy to give you tips on where to go out and shop, where to get the best coffee and which festival is currently taking place. Everyone can also explore the holiday destination on their own. There will always be like-minded people with whom you can go on a voyage of discovery. Interacting with the locals is also an excellent way of consolidating and practising what you have learnt in addition to language lessons. The advantage of staying with a host family is that you can practise what you have learnt straight away. There are plenty of opportunities to speak Spanish when shopping and going out.
 

Language diplomas:

At our language school in Valencia we offer the following exam preparation course: Preparation for the D.E.L.E. exam.

Please note:

• The D.E.L.E. exam course in Valencia requires language level A2 (basic knowledge). Participation in a preparation course is therefore dependent on the result of the placement test before the start of the course.

• The exams mainly take place in the last week of the course. Therefore, only limited lessons are usually possible here.

• The examination fee must always be paid on site. Please see the information in the table for the amount of the examination fee.
