At our language school you spend a unique holiday in one of the most diverse cities in the world and learn to speak, write and understand fluent Japanese for your job, your studies or for everyday. Our Japanese language courses are for adult beginners and advanced learners of all age groups. The participants come from all over the world.

Location & facilities:

The LISA! Language school in Tokyo lies directly in the centre of the city, just a few minutes walk from the main station Shinjuku and is surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities. To reach the school building, the students have the privilage of going through the shrine gate every morning. From the 9 bright and friendly furnished classrooms you can often hear traditional drums and chanting.

Each room has its own charm and will delight fans of computer games. Furthermore, our school offers a great lounge for breaks, where students can meet fellow travelers from all over the world and where they can organise joint ventures into the city.

Our friendly school team in Tokyo know exactly where the best place to eat is, which concerts and theatre pieces are happening and where the best shops are. Together with the school team, the participants go on tours through the city, have film nights, go to the cinema and organise typical Japanese tea ceremonies and cool parties. Furthermore exciting day trips to the palace 'Kokura' can be organised.

LISA!  Language courses:

•  Our language courses start every Monday.  If the course starts on a public holiday, the course starts on Tuesday.  Courses for beginners start every first Monday of the month.

•  Our courses in Tokyo are suitable for levels ranging from beginner (A1) to advanced (B1).

•  During your language study trip, you will stay in selected accommodations (see accommodations).

Super-intensive course:

Our language school in Tokyo offers a special 2-week Super Intensive course throughout the year to introduce students to traditional and modern Japanese culture.  In addition to language lessons, you will receive 4 hours of cultural lessons on Saturdays and take part in cultural events.

The course of your language course:

On the day of arrival of your LISA!  You will arrive at your accommodation.  On the first day of school you will be divided into levels according to your level of knowledge.  In this way, we guarantee optimal learning success.  After the course, you will have plenty of time to explore the city.  The school team is happy to give tips on where to go out and shop, where to find the best karaoke bar and what festival is taking place.  Everyone can also explore the resort on their own.  In Tokyo, the best way to get around the city is by subway.  There will always be like-minded people with whom you can go on a journey of discovery.  In order to deepen and try out what you have learned, the exchange with the locals is an excellent complement to the language lessons.
