International participants study at our language school in Antibes. They can quickly apply their new language skills in everyday life while going to nearby restaurants, museums and shops.

Our French Language School is located only 15 minutes by foot from the city centre of Antibes. The school, a magnificent Provençal stone building, is surrounded by a large, beautiful garden with about 150 square metres, in which students canrelax during breaks and enjoy a stunning view of the harbour and the Bay of Angels.

Our friendly school team enjoysorganising activities for our students, including trips to the principality of Monaco, the town of Grasse (the world capital of perfume), or to the countryside around Nice. We also visit the 760-metre high mountain village of Gourdon, which offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean coast and across the cities of Nice, Antibes and Cannes. Trips to southern French markets, which are typical of the region can also be organised.

LISA! Language courses:

• Our language courses start every Monday. If the course starts on a public holiday, the course starts on Tuesday (see calendar).

• Our super-intensive language courses in Antibes are recognized as Bildungsurlaub in several German states.

At our language school in Antibes there is the possibility to combine the French course with afternoon and evening activities:

• French & Sport:
  After the main course, participants take part in sports activities four afternoons per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). These are led by a professional trainer and take place as group training outside in and around Antibes. Sports include fitness, jogging, cross-training, mountain biking, kayaking or paddling.

• French & Meditation:
  After the main course, participants take part in relaxing activities four afternoons per week. These are led by an instructor and take place as a group course outside in and around Antibes. Components of the program include: Tour of Antibes and Nice, Pilates and yoga by the sea, excursion to Estérel, tea ceremony.

• French & culture:
  After the main course, participants take part in cultural activities four afternoons per week (Monday - Thursday). These are led by a teacher and take place as a group course in Antibes. Components of the program include: Workshop in a patisserie, a honey tasting, a trip to a perfumery.

Language and culture trip 50 Plus:

Our cultural trip to Antibes is especially designed for students over 50 years old. You will learn the French language together with students of your age and different nationalities and expand your knowledge. Our leisure program is rich and includes 3 afternoon activities and a weekend excursion on Saturday. Part of the program includes visits to museums and theaters, a cooking workshop, a tasting of local products, a walk along the coast, a trip to Grasse and a visit to a perfumery, a trip to Paul de Vence and Cannes. On Saturday we will go to Nice or Monaco. Accommodation will be in a studio, breakfast and dinner will be shared with the other students at the school.

The procedure of your language course:

On the arrival day of your LISA! Language Travel you will arrive at your accommodation. On the first day of school you will be divided into levels according to your level. This is how we guarantee optimal learning success. After the course you will have enough time to explore the city. The school offers activities several times a week. The school team is happy to give tips on where to go out and store, where to get the best coffee and which festival is currently taking place. Everyone can also explore the resort on their own. There will always be like-minded people with whom you can go exploring. Also to deepen and test what you have learned, the exchange with the locals is an excellent complement to the language lessons. Homestay accommodations have the advantage of allowing you to practice what you have learned. Shopping and going out offer many opportunities to speak French.

Language certificates »

At our language school in Antibes, we offer the following exam preparation courses: preparation for the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (D.E.L.F.).

Please note:

• To take part in this course you must have at least an elementary language level (A1) of French.

• The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.

• You must pay the exam fee while in Antibes. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will be.

• You must register for the exam online 4 weeks in advance.

• The exam takes place in Valbonne (about 15 km from Antibes).
