At our modern language school in Los Angeles – Hollywood, our participants learn in an international atmosphere and have the chance to put their newly acquired knowledge of English into practice in the many restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Location & Facilities:

Our modernly equipped language school is located right next to the legendary Sunset Boulevard. The two school buildings are well equipped and include a green terrace, perfect for relaxing during breaks. It is also the meeting point for shared barbecues. Around the school you will find numerous cafés, shops and restaurants.

Organised Leisure Programme:

Our school team is happy to organise joint activities such as barbecues, climbing, beach activities, dance lessons or film evenings. Excursions to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, or weekend trips to the Universal Studios are also part of the organised leisure programme.

LISA! Language Courses:

• Our language courses start every Monday. If the course start falls on a public holiday, the course begins on Tuesday (see calendar).

• Our Super-Intensive Course in Los Angeles – Hollywood is recognised as educational leave in several German federal states.

• In the summer months, lessons may take place alternately in the morning and in the afternoon.

• During your language course you will stay in carefully selected accommodation (see Accommodation).

English & Film:

At our language school in Los Angeles – Hollywood, we offer English lessons combined with a unique insight into the world of film production. The programme is held in cooperation with the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and is aimed at students interested in studying film.

The course covers topics in film history and production, as well as screenwriting and acting. In the practical part of the course, participants produce short films or a documentary themselves. The school has a fully equipped video editing lab with Apple Macs, including professional software such as Final Cut Pro and After Effects. The course price also includes entry to various exhibitions and visits to filming locations and studios.

The Schedule of Your Language Course:

On the day of arrival of your LISA! Language Course you will move into your accommodation. On the first school day, you will be placed in the appropriate level according to your knowledge. This guarantees the best learning success. After the course, there is plenty of time to explore the city. The school offers activities several times a week. The school team will be happy to give tips on where to go out, shop, find the best coffee, or which festival is currently taking place. Everyone is free to explore the city independently as well. You will always find like-minded people to join you on your adventures. To deepen and practise what you have learned, exchanges with locals are an excellent addition to the lessons. Staying with a host family has the advantage that you can apply your English straight away. While shopping or going out, there are many opportunities to speak English.
