  1. Amazing course location by the sea:
Our language course in Jamaica takes place in Ocho Rios, a city in the north of the Caribbean island. The former British colony attracts a constant stream of tourists, mainly due to its constantly tropical climate and unique culture. Jamaica boasts white sandy beaches, a varied landscape, and friendly atmosphere, characterised by Bob Marley and reggae music.

  2. Course participants and diversity:
The majority of our course participants travel to Jamaica alone and meet their friendly fellow English students on the first day of classes at the LISA! Language School. Those to participate in this course are typically students and young professionals between the ages of 20 and 35, as well of professionals between the ages of 35 and 45. Over-60s will also feel equally as welcome on this course.

  3. The language course itself:
Our language school is located in the centre of Ocho Rios and the dreamy, sandy beaches are just a couple of minutes away on foot. In recent years the city has transformed itself from a once small fishing village to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Jamaica. In the vicinity of the school you can find small bars, restaurants, shops, hotels and shopping centres. Classes are held in our modern, fully-equipped, close-knit language school and at break times you can sit in its small garden or take a dip in the pool. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building

  4. Teaching methods:
We employ the Direct Method when teaching English and within the first week you will see noticeable improvements in both your spoken and written English. Alongside your English language course you can also take holiday-friendly courses and business courses. We employ a selection of the world’s best English teachers and all are qualified in teaching their mother tongue, English, as a foreign language.

  5. All-Inclusive:
During your time in Jamaica you’ll stay either with a host family, in an international hostel or in a beachfront hotel. The hotel is easily reached via a safe and secure path. Various free time activities and excursions are organised around the language course.

  6. Cost-effective:
If you book an English language course in Jamaica, the cost after 2 weeks will be discounted. This discount is already accounted for in the price table

How safe is a language course in Jamaica?
Our customers feel welcome in Jamaica and are impressed by the friendliness and positive outlook of the Jamaican people. Unfortunately, in comparison to Europe, there is higher crime rate on the island. As such, you should keep all documents and valuables in a secure location. You should not go anywhere alone at night outside of your accommodation, and certainly on foot, as it could lead to theft due to drug-related crime.
