Whistler is one of the most popular places for winter sports in North America. The small town lies in West Canada in front of the spectacular scenery of the mountain Blackcomb and Whistler. The whistling of the woodchucks, which live in the wonderful forest, gave the town its name. The birds of the Squamish and Lil'wat once lived here, whose cultural heritage is now told in an exhibition. The modern building of the museum is an interpretation of the typical nave of the local Sqamish tribes and serves as an arts centre. Whistler extends to the pretty town centre where boutiques, restaurants and cafés are easily reachable by foot. You learn English in a sheltered and familiar atmosphere in our small language school in the town centre. Our engaging school team gladly takes travellers to the festivals and other places of interest in the lovely town. 'Tasting Tours' through Whistler's restaurants, visiting contemporary galleries, wonderful markets and music festivals are all greatly appealing. The ski lifts and the great racing track are only a few minutes away. Walkers, mountain bikers and nature lovers all find the conditions of the Whistler's mountains the best. Vancouver and the Canadian West coast is only a 130km drive.
