Granada

Granada is a colourful student city in Andalusia. It offers a
beautiful view of the snow capped Sierra Nevada, which is suitable for
skiing until the end of May.
The cityscape is characterised by Arabian style architecture and culture.
A walk through the Albaicin, an old Arabic quarter, brings you right into the Arabic world. The most famous building in Granada is the uniquely
beautiful Arabic Alhambra Castle with its secrets and love stories. Granada's
tapas are unique. This old Andalusian tradition of delicious free nibbles
with every drink is still available in Granada and surroundings so be
sure to make the most of it!

Sightseeing in Granada
This city is the pearl of Spain. We recommend a visit to the Alhambra,
the oldest Arabian palace in Granada. The palace is now home to the national
museum for Spanish-Muslim art. It houses, among other treasures, the famous
seven jars of the Alhambra. The Palace is also home to the Museum of
Fine Arts. Please reserve tickets in advance as the number of visitors
to the Palace is restricted.
We strongly recommend a visit to the caves of Sacromonte. For many centuries,
these were inhabited by gypsies. They have now been transformed into
pubs, lovingly decorated with ceramics and copper plates. They also host
flamenco performances.

Spain’s most important Renaissance building is Granada’s
cathedral with its five naves. It was built towards the end of the Gothic
and the beginning of the Renaissance period. Its chapel and sculptured
façade are well worth viewing.
We recommend that you start your night out in one of the bars around the Alhambra.
Especially during the summer months this is an ideal place to get into the swing
of Granada’s nightlife.
