Viareggio’s trademark is its fantastic long sandy beach. The small seaside resort in Tuscany is not far from Pisa and Lucca. Viareggio is a popular and much-loved holiday resort for Italians. This town on the Tyrrheni sea is characterised by its 19th century architecture and various cafes, bars and restaurants along the beach. At night, the town’s clubs and discos come to life. During the day, the beautiful beach and the blue sea invite their visitors to relax and take a swim.
The school
Our school is situated in the heart of Viareggio. The sandy beach is within 5 minutes walking distance. It is home to various cafes, bars and several shopping centres. The historical school building offers 6 bright and welcoming
classrooms. All tutors specialise in teaching
Italian. Viareggio offers the opportunity to learn Italian quickly in
a relaxed atmosphere by the sea.
Please note that our language school in Viareggio is only open
from the beginning of June to the middle of September.

Sightseeing in Viareggio
Viareggio’s ideal seaside location offers various opportunities for leisure activities. Besides water sports such as swimming and sailing, visitors can also play beach volleyball, tennis and golf.
At night, locals and tourists alike find entertainment in Viareggio’s various bars and clubs. The liberal attitude of its inhabitants has also enabled the gay scene to feel very comfortable in Viareggio.
During the summer, Viareggio hosts various musical and cultural events. The Puccini festival, for example, is a great classical open air event which takes place every summer as the famous Italian composer Giacomo Puccini lived in Viareggio for a while. You may also visit his former residence in Viareggio.
During February and March, the town becomes a colourful showground for the mardi gras. The ’Carnevale’ takes place over five weekends and is a major attraction.
There are several larger Tuscan cities near Viareggio such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, all of which offer architectural treasures which can be reached within a few hours. The Tuscan countryside offers a beautiful landscape and some delicious wines!
