Our school is located in the heart of Manhattan, directly in Times Square in a typical skyscraper. The centre has 16 well-equipped, modern and air-conditioned classrooms as well as a student lounge and a computer room. Sightseeing in New York
New York – the city that never sleeps!
We recommend that you start your sightseeing tour in Manhattan with the Empire
State Building, Brooklyn Bridge and Ground Zero which is now home to
a memorial for the victims of the September 11th tragedies.
Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most famous bridges in the world, joining
Manhattan and Brooklyn. From the bridge, you will have a perfect view
across the skyline of Manhattan. The Empire State Building is one of the
most famous attractions in New York and from its 102nd floor, you can look out over the city and 60 miles of its surroundings.
We recommend a visit to the Metropole Museum, America’s largest
museum which displays art from Egyptian times as well as contemporary art.
Central Park is New York’s most famous park, stretching from
Manhattan to Harlem, and has several lakes as well as a zoo and a restaurant.
An ideal place to slow down and recover from the busy city.
New York’s nightlife has something for everybody: countless bars,
cafes, clubs and discos. The night begins at 5 p.m., so be prepared
for a long night out!

Family: Single (SR) or double room (DR) with breakfast (B&B). Homestay families live in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. Average distance from the school: 50 minutes by public transport.
Residence 1 (92nd Street): Self-catered single (SR) or double room (DR) with shared bathroom and kitchen, situated near Central Park. Average distance to the school: 20 minutes by public transport. The minimum stay for this residence is 4 weeks.

Exam Courses
At our language school in New York (Times Square), we offer the following exam preparation course: preparation for the Cambridge Certificate (FCE, CAE, CPE) and TOEFL:
Please note:
- Your English must be at least at an intermediate level (TOEFL: B1; FCE: B2; CAE: C1; CPE: B1) to go on the course. Enrolment onto the preparation course is subject to a grading test before the course starts.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week. We recommend you to opt for a flexible flight reservation.
- You can register for the TOEFL exam online. The exam date must be booked 3 months in advance at www.ets.org/toefl
- You must pay the exam fee while in New York. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.
- Cambridge Certificates: You will find dates of the written papers
(papers 1-3) in the table. According to our previous experience, we
have found that the oral exams (papers 4-5) mostly take place a week
after the end of the course. which is why the prices may include an
extra week’s accommodation. As it is possible that the dates may be
postponed, we recommend that you opt for a flexible flight reservation.
