Brisbane is the capital of Queensland in the North-East of Australia, with around 1 million inhabitants. It has a very pleasant subtropical climate and is famous for its glass palaces and bridges over the River Brisbane. This metropolis is characterised by a combination of modern architecture and 19th century buildings. The attractive city centre is home to street artists and musicians. The Gold Coast with its long sandy beaches, the tropical rain forest and the Great Barrier Reef are all, by car, just about an hour away.
The School
Our modern school is situated in the town centre, in a modern building in the business district, which is only a 7 minute walk from the central train station. The 16 large classrooms are air-conditioned, have modern facilities and some rooms offer beautiful views of the Brisbane River. The school has 2 computer rooms where students have access to the school's WiFi network on their laptops. All teachers are highly qualified and teach using the most modern methods.

Sightseeing in Brisbane
Queensland's capital city is culturally, as well as geographically, the most tropical city of Australia.
We recommend that you start your sightseeing tour at the City Hall, whose tower provides a brilliant view over the city. There is also a museum, an art gallery and a library, which all offer interesting ways of discovering Brisbane.
There is also the Queensland Cultural Centre on Brisbane Bridge, which caters for every type of culture vulture. Here, you can also find the Performing Arts Centre, the Queensland Art Gallery, the Queensland Museum and the City Library. You'll find a large number of sights around King George Square too.
The hugely varied range of cuisine here is testimony to Australia's large immigrant influence. Foreign tourists will be positively surprised by the extremely colourful range of bars, bistros and restaurants.
If you want to go shopping however, the centre of the city around King George Square is the place to be, as there are so many small shops, boutiques, as well as large department stores.
The capital of Queensland is great to experience at night. There is a rich cultural scene. The various clubs and bars are worth a visit too. Well known live bands and performers are always playing here, from all across the musical spectrum.

Exam Courses
At our language school in Brisbane, we offer exam preparation courses: Cambridge Certificate (FCE, CAE, CPE) as well as IELTS.
Please note:
- Your level of English must at least be B1 - Intermediate Level (FCE: B2; CAE: B2; CPE: C1; IELTS: B1) to book an exam course. Enrolment is subject to a grading test before the course starts.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.
- You can complete your IELTS exam registration beforehand on the internet at www.ielts.org, where you can find the application form and further information.
- Cambridge Certificates: You will find the dates of the written papers (papers 1-3) in the table. According to past experience, the oral exams (papers 4-5) can take place up to a week after the end of the course, which is why the prices may include an extra week’s accommodation. As it is possible that the dates may be postponed, we recommend that you opt for a flexible flight reservation.
- You must pay the exam fee while in Brisbane. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.
- We recommend that you book a flexible flight ticket.
