We have now been offering language courses abroad for 18 years, helping our customers to become fluent in the foreign language of their choice, from European languages to more 'exotic' languages in far-flung destinations. Welcome to our 2012 programme, which contains offers for adults, students and young people. Our business courses are increasingly popular amongst students, young professionals and leading entrepreneurs and managers. Our 2012 Programme

How quickly can I learn a new language?

Complete beginners usually require around 12 weeks in total, whether all at once or taken over a longer period of time, to become fluent in a foreign language. Ideally, your language course should last at least 2 weeks, with 4 to 12 weeks providing the best results. As a beginner you will see great improvement after just 2 weeks, suddenly being able to communicate with locals in simple sentences.

Language courses for teenagers

School pupils of all ages can come and learn a language with us. We supervise and take care of our students as they are taught to master one or several foreign languages, and also offer specialised courses to prepare for school-leaving exams such as GCSEs or A-Levels. LISA! Language Learners are high achievers; we'll help you get that top mark you were hoping or in your French A Level! Students aged 16 or over can also take part in courses for adults for a wider choice of destinations; please be aware that some of the adult destinations do not provide 24-hour supervision services for minors and, although certain after-school activities may be arranged for students, the activity programme is not usually as comprehensive as the ones designed especially for our teenage language learners.

Language courses for the over 40s

Of our course participants, the majority are under 30, with 30 to 50 year olds the next largest age group. We are also seeing more and more customers aged over 40 taking part in our language courses. Our concept, combining world travel with language learning and the chance to meet new people and broaden your horizons, has proved extremely popular in recent years with the over 40s. Interestingly, our language courses abroad have also become somewhat of a matchmaking phenomenon, with countless customers travelling alone and meeting new friends, partners and even their future spouses on our language courses abroad!
