Salamanca, European cultural capital of 2002, is a mixture of Spanish Plazas, imposing cathedrals and historical university buildings. While enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine and tapas in the large market square, you will meet new and familiar faces, people come here to see and to be seen. Everything in the city is within walking distance. You will soon get to know your fellow students in Salamanca's renowned nightlife and in doing so, you will quickly improve your Spanish. Salamanca, because of its low cost of living, is an ideal resort for long-term students. A dialect-free version of Spanish is spoken in this city.
The school
Our school is one of the top language schools in Spain! It is
located next to a park and near San Esteban, the famous cloisters. It
has a library and a multi-media complex. All 10 classrooms are bright
and welcoming. The friendly team is always very helpful and knows the
best meeting places and travel tips for after lesson times. The tuition
is modern and exciting. All tutors specialise in teaching Spanish as
a foreign language. Students come from all over the world.
The course material is not included in the price and costs £ 25.
If you are staying for a week, you can borrow any necessary teaching material.

Sightseeing in Salamanca
Salamanca is a town, whose architecture is pure - all
the buildings in the heart of town are built with bricks from Vallamayor,
which gives the place a unique personality.
Salamanca’s university is one of the oldest universities in Spain.
Its library with over 160 000 volumes is invaluable.
The Plaza Mayor is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in
Spain. It is the geographical as well as cultural centre of Salamanca.
All around the Plaza you will find architectnically interesting buildings
such as the Iglesia de la Purisma.
We strongly recommend a visit to Salamanca Cathedral with its golden
chapel and sculptures by Patio Chico.
Salamanca’s nightlife is happy and carefree – an atmosphere
brought about by student life. We recommend that you visit the pubs and bars
around Plaza Mayor. Later in the evening, we recommend a visit to one
of the various discos.
Accommodation
Family: Double room (DR) or single room (SR) with half board (HB) or full board (FB).
Flat share: In a single (SR) or double room (DR) in a flat amongst Spanish or foreign students. Kitchen, bathroom/WC are all shared and bedlinen is provided. The minimum age for the accommodation in the shared flat is 18 years.
Apartment: Single room (SR) with kitchen, bath/ WC. Bedlinen and towels are provided.
All accommodation: Double rooms can only be booked by 2 people booking and travelling together. Average distance to the school: 10 minutes on foot.

Exam Courses
At our language school in Salamanca, we offer the following exam preparation courses: Preparation for the D.E.L.E exam.
Please note:
- You must have an upper intermediate level (B2) to be able to go on the D.E.L.E. course. Enrolment is subject to a grading ocurse before the course starts.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.
- You must pay the exam fee while in Salamanca. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.

Bus transfer provided by the school, single: £ 34 (There is an airport transfer service every weekend between 01.02.10 and 31.10.10, however it is possible to arrange a specific pick-up time.)
Travel
We recommend that you book a flight to Madrid. There is a train and bus service
from Madrid airport to Salamanca. The last bus to Salamanca departs from
Madrid bus station at around 10 p. m. The first bus to Salamanca leaves
at around 6 a. m. The journey from Madrid to Salamanca takes about 2.5 hours.
The school organises a personal transfer service as well as
a
bus transfer service (only available on certain dates, please contact
our staff for further information). Please note that with the personal
transfer service your arrival must be before 3 p.m., your departure later
than 2 p.m.
