Ecuador is one of the most multi-faceted countries in the world. Because
of the natural beauty of Ecuador (jungle, the Andes, the coast, the Galapagos
Islands etc.) and because of the clear, precise Spanish spoken by the
Ecuadorians, Quito, the capital city, is the very place to experience
an unforgettable language course.
Quito is a lively, fascinating city with a colonial old part of town,
warm and welcoming citizens and a pleasant spring-like climate all year

The school
The school, which is directed by a European, is one of the leading language schools in Ecuador. The large school building with its lush garden and three sunny patios, occupies a central position in a quiet residential area of Quito. The 12 large, bright classrooms offer an ideal learning environment. Because of the tranquil location, students may want to study Spanish outside in the garden or on the patios. The school has good public transport connections, so the old part of town and the tourist quarter of Mariscal are within easy reach.
All tutors are qualified and have many years' experience in teaching
Spanish as a foreign language. Continuous teacher training ensures a
high quality teaching staff. The lessons last 60 minutes. The school
is well known and loved in many countries, so each year many students
from many different countries come to learn Spanish in Quito.
Our school offers a rich cultural programme, including dancing, lectures
and fiestas, as well as excursions from Quito to the Andes, the Equator
and to Indian markets.
These excursions enable students to get to know many facets of Ecuadorian
life.
3-4 activities are offered every week. The school puts emphasis on extra-curricular
activities in order to enhance the students' learning experience.
For new students the course begins with a tour of Quito, during which all the important aspects of Quito life (taking the bus, handling money, shopping, Internet cafés, etc.) are explained. This helps you to settle in quickly.

Sightseeing in Quito
Quito will give you a perfect insight into life in Equador. The historic
old part of town has colonial buildings, museums, shops, cafes and restaurants,
surrounded by a mountainous landscape.
Equador is famous for its colourful markets, the most famous market is
in Otavolo, which offers an exotic mixture of colours, sounds and aromas.
Admire the artists and pieces of art.
Equador offers a great opportunity for hiking and climbing. Climb to
the top of a glacier or experience the Amazon rain forest, its beaches
and hidden Inca treasures. Every excursion is an adventure.
We recommend a visit to three volcanic Galapagos Islands, home to a wealth
of animals and plants. It is best to visit this nature resort between
March and May.
We also recommend a visit to Quito’s museums.
Our school in Quito organises a wide range of leisure activities: salsa
courses, town tours, cookery courses, cultural presentations, fiestas
and excursions to various attractions around Quito.
Accommodation
Flat-share: Single (SR) or double room (DR) with self-catering and with shared bathroom/WC and kitchen. You can relax in the big common room with TV. Average distance to the school: 15 minutes on foot. The single transfer from the airport to the accommodation is already included in the price.
Family: Single room (SR), half board (HB) or full board (FB). All families live a maximum of 15 minutes' walk from the school in the same part of the city. Walking or taking the bus to school together enables students to make contact easily.
