Fremantle
The small city of Fremantle is situated on the west coast of Australia. It was founded as a port in 1829. The charming city centre is characterized by historical architecture which dates back to the time when gold diggers first settled in Fremantle. The South Terrace, Fremantle’s high street, is ideal for visitors to enjoy cappuccinos, go shopping or browse around the typically Australian craft exhibitions. The small beach is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. There are various restaurants which offer seafood and sea views. The white sandy beaches, north of Fremantle, are only a few minutes away by public transport. Fremantle’s large port has been one of the most important ports on the west coast for a long time. The metropolis of Perth is a 30-minute ride away.
The school
Our school has two school buildings in the city centre of Fremantle. One of the school buildings is situated in Fremantle’s historical ' Orient Hotel '. Its high ceilings with their ornate mouldings and wall ornaments create a unique atmosphere! The two patios are ideal for studying and relaxing. The second school building is next to the Hotel. It is modern and stylish and equipped with a small kitchen. Fremantle’s beach is only a 5-minute walk away. All tutors specialise in teaching English as a foreign language. The course material is not included in the price and can be bought at the school for 70AU$.
The language school organises numerous trips and excursions, e.g. a visit to the Caversham Game Park, surfing courses, tracking trips to the Australian outback, kayaking, wine tastings in the surrounding area as well as trips along the west coast that may last several days.

At our language school in Fremantle, we offer the following exam preparation courses: Preparation for the Cambridge Certificate (FCE, CAE)
Please note:
- To go on these courses, your English must be at an intermediate level (FCE: B2; CAE: B2). Enrolment on a preparation course is subject to a grading test before the course starts.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.
- You must pay the exam fee while in Freemantle. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.
- Cambridge Certificates: You will find dates of the written papers (papers 1-3) in the table. According to our previous experience, we have found that the oral exams (papers 4-5) mostly take place a week after the end of the course. which is why the prices may include an extra week’s accommodation. As it is possible that the dates may be postponed, we recommend that you opt for a flexible flight reservation.
