The school is centrally located; the town centre as well as the beach
can be reached by bus in app. 5 minutes. The school building was originally
a 19th century school of great charm and character. Now modernised, the
school has 15 classrooms, a library, a bookshop, a language lab, a computer room and a cafeteria.
The school has an excellent reputation and specialises in training English
teachers from around the world as well as courses in tourism and hotel
management.

Teacher Training
This course is for teachers of English, who are not native speakers. You will learn to minimise your accent and improve your English to a native speaker level. Participants must be qualified teachers of English.

Specialised English

Sightseeing in Bournemouth
The Bournemouth Eye, a hot air balloon, offers the best views of Bournemouth
and its attractions. Bournemouth Pier is the starting point for various
boat trips along the coast or to Bronwnsea Island.
The Oceanarium offers an insight view into the Bournemouth's underwater life and
is open daily. The Bournemouth International Centre is home to a conference room, as well
as, a ballroom and two theatres. It offers musicals and rock concerts.
Shopping facilities are available in either the city centre or in the Castlepoint Shopping
Centre, where you will find small boutiques, shops and restaurants.
In the evening we recommend a visit to one of the various pubs, bars
and clubs.
The school organises excursions to London, Oxford, the Isle of Wight,
Salisbury and Stonehenge.
Accommodation
Shared school-flat (student house): Single (SR) or double room in a flat that is shared with other students from the school. Shared kitchen and shared bathroom. Average distance to the school: 10 minutes by foot. The minimum age for shared school-flat accommodation is 18 years. Double rooms may only be booked by two persons booking and travelling together.
Family: Single (SR) or double room (DR) with half board (HB), full board at the weekends. Average distance to the school: 10 minutes by foot or by bus.

Exam Courses
At our language school in Bournemouth, we offer the following exam preparation courses: preparation for the IELTS and the Cambridge Certificate (FCE, CAE, CPE) exams.
Please note:
- You must have a basic knowledge level of the language to enrol on the course (FCE: B2; CAE: B2; CPE: C1; IELTS: A2; summer courses: FCE: B1; CAE: B2). Enrolment onto the course is subject a grading test before the course starts.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.
- You can now register for the IELTS exam in advance on the internet.. Exam registration must be done 2 months in advance at the latest. You can find further information at www.ielts.org, as well as the application form.
- You must pay the exam fee while in Bournemouth. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.
