Cork is located in southern Ireland surrounded by beautiful countryside, idyllic mountains, meadows, fields and swamps. At dawn, clouds of mist hang over crystal clear lakes and natural beaches. The town itself with its small, colourful houses and its countless bridges is full of 19th century charm. Cork is situated on a set of hills and has one of the most beautiful natural harbours in all of Ireland.
The typical Irish university town, well known for its culture, superb museums, galleries, theatres and parks, was awarded European Capital of Culture in 2005. Cork offers a variety of events such as the Cork St. Patrick’s Day Festival which is celebrated in honour of Ireland's patron saint, the ’Cork International Jazz Festival’, the ’Art Trail’ or the 'Murphy’s Cork Film Festival'. Approximately 25,000 students live in Cork, a fifth of the town's population. There are great clubs such as the ’Bodega’ on Cornmarket Street or the ’Counihans’ on Pembroke Street. Cork, on the banks of the river Lee, is devoted to preserving its cultural and literary heritage. A lot of historic sights can be seen in the winding alleys of Cork's town centre such as memorials to Irish freedom fighters, the remains of the old city wall or the historic houses, such as 'Custom House' which dates back to the first half of the 18th century. Cork's residents are warm-hearted, open-minded, friendly and very proud of the town. When in Cork, don't miss out on a visit to the theatre, the opera, a pub or a club.
Our language school in the heart of Cork is only a few minutes on foot from the train station. The two historic school buildings are approx. 50 metres apart and surrounded by a variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
There are 26 modern and well-lit class rooms, a multimedia room and a computer lab. The sports centre and the indoor swimming pool close by can be used by the students at a reduced entrance fee. All English teachers are specialised in teaching English as a foreign language. Teaching material costs £ 32 and can be purchased at the school.

There are a lot of things to do in Cork, as the town offers a broad variety of cultural, art and sport events. You will find superb museums such as the ’Cork Vision Centre,’ the ’Cork Public Museum’ located at Fitzgerald Park, which has a range of exhibitions and the ’Cork Butter Museum’ in which the history and the production of Irish butter is explained. The historic heart of Cork with its numerous memorials to Irish freedom fighters tells the story of struggles for indepencdence as well as Cork's history. The surrounding area is perfect for short trips and excursions.
