The small picturesque town of Nerja is situated high above the sea on
the Costa del Sol. The coastline around Nerja offers 10 miles of
white sandy beaches with countless beautiful bays. Nerja is surrounded
by mountains and has a very mild climate.
With around 20 thousand inhabitants, Nerja has kept its typical Andalusian
character. Its old part of town is characterised by small white houses
with colourful plants.
Nerja’s year is built around traditional festivals and traditions, an ideal way for course participants to delve into the Spanish culture.
The School
Our school is situated in the historical centre of Nerja, only 10 minutes from the beach. The garden in the atrium of the typical Andalusian building is ideal for studying and relaxing.
There are various restaurants, cafes and shopping centres near the school. All six classrooms are bright, modern and air-conditioned. The school has a small book shop, a library, a cafeteria and a computer and telephone service. All tutors specialise in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Sightseeing in Nerja
This Spanish coastal town has 10 miles of coastline and 7 beaches. It is ideal for relaxing, sunbathing and swimming. The mountains around Nerja should definitely be explored on foot, so you can enjoy the beautiful views across the coastline.
Nerja is famous for its caves, where you can still see thousand-year old rock paintings. We also recommend you visit the rural
area around Nerja with its small villages (e.g. Cómpeta, Sayalonga
oder Frigiliana) with tropical gardens, endless olive plantations and
sunflower fields.
At the weekend, take a trip to the surrounding cities of Cordoba, Málaga
and Seville, or head to the colourful Viñuela reservoir for a picnic.
Accommodation
Family: Single room (SR) with breakfest (B&B), with half board (HB) or full board (FB). Average distance to the school: 5 minutes on foot.
Hostel: Double room (DR) or single room (SR) in a centrally located and beautifully equipped clean hostel. All rooms are ensuite with bath/WC and have a TV. The sunny roof terrace is equipped with a jacuzzi. Distance to the school: 5 minutes on foot. Double rooms can only be booked by 2 people booking and travelling together. The minimum age for this type of accommodation is 18 years.
Shared school-flat: Course participants share a flat with fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom/WC. Single room (SR). Average distance to the school: 15 minutes on foot. The minimum age for this type of accommodation is 18 years.

LISA! Language & Culture 50+
Our Course 50+ in Nerja takes place in small groups of maximum 8 participants. Together with people of all nations and your age group, you will learn Spanish and improve your knowledge. The recreational programme which accompanies the language course offers e.g. cooking classes, dance lessons or visits to the cinema. You can either stay with a host family, in a hostel or in a flat shared with other course participants.

Exam Courses
At our language school in Nerja, we offer the following exam preparation course: preparation for the D.E.L.E exam.
Please note:
- The D.E.L.E. exam course is suitable for absolute beginners (A0) as no previous knowledge is required.
- The exams normally take place in the last week of the course, therefore we can only offer limited teaching in that week.
- You must pay the exam fee while in Nerja. Please consult the table regarding how much the exam fee will cost.

Travel
We recommend that you book a flight to Málaga. There
is a regular bus service to Nerja, please see www.alsinagraells.com.
Please make sure you arrive at the airport no earlier than 6:30 and
no later than 21:30, as the first bus leaves the airport in Malaga
at 7:00, the lust bus departs at 23:00.
The journey from Malaga to
Nerja takes about 2 hours and costs ca. £ 6. Alternatively, you can
book the school’s transfer service. Please note your departure
should not be before 12:00 from Malaga airport, because the first bus
from Nerja departs at 7:00. Please contact our staff for further information.
