Havana is Cuba's capital city and is one of the largest cities in the Caribbean with around 2.2 million inhabitants. Cuba is known for its revolution in 1959, led by the famous Ernesto Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, that overthrew the former Cuban dictator: the country has been a socialist state ever since.
Bays of turquoise water, white sandy beaches, plenty of sunshine, cheerful
people, picturesque villages and green tobacco fields: this is Cuba.
The people are welcoming and dedicate their lives to enjoying themselves.
The buildings of the old quarter of Havana have countless stories to
tell: Havana is the place where Wilfredo Lam painted his pictures and
Ernest Hemingway drank the famous cocktail Mojito in the Bodeguita Bar.

Our Language School is situated in the beautiful suburb of Miramar in a villa with a green garden and a shaded terrace. The sea and the beach are within easy walking distance (about 10 minutes on foot). The school is run by a European and all tuition is given by qualified staff who specialise in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Our school has a cafeteria, 7 air-conditioned classrooms and a common room.

Havana, the capital of Cuba, is the largest and most exciting town in
Cuba. The centre of Havana is marked by the Capitolio Nacional, a model
of the US Capitol in Washington D.C. It used to be a government building
for the Cuban Congress until 1959 and is now home to the Cuban Business
Academy and the National Library for Business and Technology.
We recommend a visit to Havana’s famous former nightclub Tropicana
which now hosts shows twice a day.
Havana is also famous for its cigars. We recommend a visit to the Upmann
cigar factory where you can watch cigars being made.
The Earl of Bayona’s palace was once home to the rum factory Havana
Club. It was built in 1720 and is the oldest building on the Plaza de
Armas. Nowadays, it is home to the Museo de Arte Colonial which displays
the Creole way of living.
Cuba’s most legendary pub, La Bodeguita del Medio, is situated
on the Calle Empedrado. It used to be a place for workers to have their
lunch, but in the past has attracted poets and intellectuals. Today,
you will find mainly tourists in this bar, which serves Ernest Hemingway's
favourite drink, the classic Mojito.
In the evening, we recommend a visit to the old part of town and to Vedado.
You will find lots of bars and nightclubs as well as street cabaret adding to
the fantastic atmosphere.
Miramar is one of the most exclusive parts of town with expensive shops,
prêt-à-porter-fashion, jewellery and magnificent villas.
If you are interested in the cold war between Cuba and the USA, we recommend
a visit to the Museo del Ministerio de Interior which is also located
in Miramar.

and sunbathing) is ca 35 minutes by public transport. The apartment
complex has a 24 hour snackshop, a lobby bar, a shopping centre and
a laundrette. Guests may use the swimming pool owned by a neighbouring
hotel.
All apartments have two bedrooms and a shared lounge with TV and telephone,
as well as a fully equipped shared kitchen, and usually a balcony.
Self-catering (SC) single room (SR) or double room (DR).
All bungalows are ca. 30 mins walking distance from the school. There
