The sunny city of Sanremo is situated on the floral Riviera, which stretches from Genoa to the Côte d'Azur. The cityscape is characterised by long, palm-fringed promenades, elegant shops and typical Italian markets.
The idyllic old part of town is full of small restaurants which offer homemade pasta and freshly caught fish at very reasonable prices. The cuisine is fantastic: besides pizza and pasta, local specialities such as torta verde, focaccia, sardinaira, gnocchi and other delicacies are on offer.
The people are very welcoming, hospitable and communicative. We recommend a weekend trip to Nice.
The school
Our language school is centrally located in a historic town house which
used to accommodate the famous Italian author Calvini's studies.
The blue sea and the beach, the countless restaurants and bars as well
as the charismatic old town are within walking distance. The language
school is modern, and all 8 classrooms are light and spacious.
The school is staffed by qualified tutors who specialise in teaching
Italian as a foreign language. You can also combine Italian courses in
Sanremo with a French language a course in Nice.

Sightseeing in Sanremo
Sanremo, famous for its art-nouveau hotels, villas and casino, is situated on the floral Riviera. It experienced a building boom during the belle epoque between 1874 and 1906, when 190 villas and 25 hotels were built – some of these are now used for different purposes, e.g. government buildings.
We recommend a visit to the Russian Orthodox Church. It was built according
to the model of the Holy Basilica in Moscow in 1913.
Sanremo is famous for its flowers, which are exported all around the
world. At dawn, the Mercato dei fiori hosts the largest flower auction
in Italy.
We recommend a visit to the beautiful Palazzo Borea d’Olmo which
is surrounded by historic buildings and pieces of art.
Sanremo’s most important sacral building is the Siro Cathedral
which was built in the 12th century. Also well worth a visit is the Piazza
Eroi with its Torre della Ciapela, a massive tower which used to be part
of the 16th century town wall. It is situated near the old part of town
La Pigna.
You will experience an exciting night out in the casino or in one of the various bars in Sanremo.

Family: Choice of double room (DR) or single room (SR) with breakfast (B&B), half board (HB) or full board (FB). Average distance from the school: 15 minutes on foot or by public transport.
Shared school-flat: Single (SR) or double room (DR) in flat shared with other course participants. Most of the flats are spacious and equipped with bathroom/WC, kitchen, TV etc. Average distance to the school: 15 minutes on foot.
