With its great weather, miles of sandy beaches and yachts in the harbour,
San Diego is known worldwide as one of the best destinations in the USA.
This stylish city by the sea has a gentle, relaxed atmosphere, great
shops and buildings from the Spanish colonial era.
Named “America’s Finest City” by its proud inhabitants, San Diego lies two and a half hours away from Los Angeles, on the Mexican border and right on the Pacific.
More than seven beaches surround the city. Some lie between steep sandstone cliffs, others are so soft you could sink into them. Blacks Beach and the beaches around La Jolla are ideally suited to surfing and sailing.
Take a dip in the Children’s Pool, or visit Pacific Beach, the most popular beach in San Diego, where the water is peaceful enough to go swimming and diving and the beautifully soft sand perfect for sunbathing or beach volleyball. In the numerous restaurants by the sea, try a T-bone steak or yummy mexican burritos. Between the skyscrapers of the city centre lies the Gaslamp Quarter. Wander around the Embarcadero and the Fisherman’s Village and rummage around in the small boutiques. A walk through the Old Town takes you past the restored Spanish colonial buildings. On a trip to Mexico’s Tijuana, sample the local Mexican cuisine and enjoy the exciting night life.

Our spacious, well-equipped school is centrally located right next to the
famous Fashion Valley Shopping Centre which offers over 200 shops and restaurants.
The school has 8 modern classrooms and a large computer room with unlimited
internet access. All tutors are qualified in teaching English as a foreign
language and emphasise the student’s individual needs in their
lessons.

Member of NAFSA, TESOL and CATESOL. We highly recommend this school.

San Diego has lots to offer, including the famous zoo, Seaworld, or
Balboa Park, which is ideal for picnics.
The entrance hall to the train station is over a hundred years old and well
worth seeing.
We recommend an excursion to Tijuana, a Mexican town which is only a
tram ride from San Diego. Street traders and Mexican art, ponchos and
sombreros await you – an ideal place to find the perfect souvenir.

The Horton Plaza is the best-known shopping centre in San Diego, famous
for its many passages and halls.
There are a multitude of bars and theatres to help you discover San Diego’s
exciting nightlife.
